My 2010 is Cyber Gray Metallic and she's right, it looks so much better in person (lots of blue fleck in the paint). I couldn't keep it stock, however, now up near 800hp. ;-p

Torsee I came from a C6 Z06 before I bought this ZR1, when I first bought that car I laughed my ass off when I realized the steering wheel was stolen from a Cobalt.. 😂

So, just wanna say, I stumbled across your channel while watching Chevy SS video's and was instantly hooked after your edit when you gave it the beans and then the firework ( and then later with the betty white snippets, lol). You have an awesome sense of humor, and honestly have a stupid grin on my face whenever I watch your vidoes. Seeing you get all types of giddy when driving these cars is awesome! Also, its pretty awesome that you are prior AF. I was as well and even had a couple fella's come join our flight from AGE. Hey Sara, loved the vid. These C6 Zr1s are the best bang for your buck when it comes to a fun all out sports car. Just bought mine a couple of months ago for a steal. Plus the fact that they only made 4400 or so of them so you know that they will be very collectable for the future. My parents live in casa grand. I usually visit in the winter months. You can come up and drive mine if you want. :)

Plus, running the A/C will also slightly affect the performance of a car.... even this 600 hp beast. Driving in 101° F is normal for some of us who can't afford to fix their A/C systems, like me.

The humidity is low in Arizona, it is a dry heat you will be more comfortable in compared to hot and humid climate, just bring enough water. Cheers.

I got to drive a ZR1 once back in 1994, my dad went to school with and was friends with the person who basically headed making the corvette museum, corvette gave him 4 of the caravan leader cars, they had a caravan of corvettes leave from each state with a ZR1 leading the caravan, and he let me drive the black convertible manual transmission one on my 18th birthday for the entire day. Was the most amazing car i have ever driven before or since, loved the digital dash, it even told you the current gas mileage in real time, when we were going, it hit all of 11mpg, push in the clutch and it hit 50, we also did not know of traction control that it had so when we got on it expecting it to do a burn out and instead we ended up at the end of the road in the blink of an eye, it was kinda surprising . He also gave us vip passes to the museum and tickets to see the beach boys concert they had for the grand opening along with back stage passes. Pretty much was my best birthday.

Love your reviews Sarah. When the federal speed limit was dropped to 55 mph, I owned a 454 Corvette, 4sp. I got on the 55 Freeway in Tustin, and noticed the CHP were driving back n forth at 55 mph. If you went 56 mph for months after, got a ticket. I was so ticked off, I wound out in 1st gear and shifted at 55 mph, got scratch in second gear...and followed the CHP....55 mph was one of the worst things to happen to us till gas prices soared up. Had to sell the car a short time later.

Love the tunnel. Back in the college days I owned a Triumph. No power to speak of but a fun ride. The parking garage at college was always fun. Fido had a nice throaty rumble. Double clutch down to 1st (no synchro) and gave 'er the beans!!!

Those vents in the front fenders behind the rear wheels are for releasing the trapped high pressure air behind the wheels at he back of the wheel well to both reduce drag and improve brake cooling, IF they are real.

The only bad thing about the brakes on the ZR1 is when you have to panic brake you’ll always look in the rear view mirrors to see who is about to rear-end you.

As a fellow Corvette owner, I can tell you that GM keeps the interiors basically the same from the base Corvette to the ZR-1. The extra money spent is for all the high performance upgrades, so it is not uncommon to find plastic trim pieces in the interior.

I think it's around 52/48 weight distribution...which is amazing for a front engine rear drive car. The rear mounted tranny helps that obviously. I love the C6 ZR1 so much. I got a major chub when they brought the ZR1 back for '09.

Hey Sarah, I've seen a couple of your videos and this one was good (I also liked the LS swapped S-10). I know you had a couple of complaints about this car, and I'm not a Corvette guy, but at $125,000 you are getting a supercar killer. You don't have to wait on a list, just go to your local Chevy dealer and they will hook you up. I saw Jay Leno's Garage recently and he had this same vehicle to review. One of his points was that if you bought some of the high end items separately, you would be into huge money. The fact that it goes over 200MPH is insane. Keep up the good work.

Nice. I bought the Grand Sport version and added the same supercharger (had to add injectors and a fuel pump). Since the compression ratio of the LS3 is different than the LS9, I had to keep it at 600 hp for safety.
