Mark can you share the best odor removal product to remove feces smell. No stain as I used some products and a shop vac but it was diarrhea and my wife can still smell it she says
@MarkSaiger6 ай бұрын
One of our Saiger's Cide products is meant for odor. We have our Saiger's Cide Lime Citron Odor Destroyer and Saiger's Eucalyptus Mint Odor Destroyer. They only come in gallons and I would really suggest only using about 4 ounces per gallon for a treatment. You would mist it on heavy as you want to get the product in contact with the odor causing molecule so when the product is making contact with that, it will slice the odor in half so your nose cannot pick up the odor anymore. You can Google Saiger's Sauce Products and find a distributor that will sell in single gallons. But also, maybe just try misting heavy some hydrogen peroxide from uptown. That could also work to remove residue still lingering in that spot. You don't want to use the peroxide on a wool or other natural fiber, so with this I am going to guess the carpet is either a nylon or a polyester which the peroxide will be safe. Just apply the peroxide and leave it to work. It will turn to a water state eventually and be just fine not to rinse out. Hope that might help 😊

Brilliant video Mark. Customers have absolutely no idea how much work needs to go into a job to do the job properly without causing damage to the carpets. That job was such a lot of work. I've watched so many of your videos and others from American carpet cleaners, but never or very rarely see woollen carpets cleaned, it's always synthetic carpets which are much easier to clean. Do you Yanks not have sheep???😄 Would love to see how you deal with wool so that i could pick up a trick or two from the God of all carpet cleaning.
@MarkSaiger7 ай бұрын
We hardly see wool over here... Well especially up here in the North country 😁. There is a lot more wool and such in California. Seems to be more common there. I have to say it is quite a treat when we get a wall to wall wool carpet. Thank you so much for your kindness and support by the way 😊

Those carpets are more challenging and deceptive than they look: They are the same colour as the dirt they hold, so you can't see it. Edit: Definitely need a face mask during vacuum! A heck of a lot of dust
@MarkSaiger7 ай бұрын
They do hide those soils really well. Had another one similar today. Didn't look too soiled, but crazy amounts of soil. Luckily there was no dust coming back on me while cleaning. The carpet really wanted to hold onto everything it could. I also had just put fresh filters into the vaccum before starting... Which I'm going to replace a again this morning before going out. Some of the filters are washable and reusable, but the little prefilters really take a beating and get replaced more often 😊 Thank you for your kindness and comment 😊

wow wee, the trays pick up alot of junk!!
@MarkSaiger7 ай бұрын
They can. They can't really replace what a vaccum can do, but any extra junk removed is a bonus 😁

Do they make purely vaccume attachments for the butler? Or is the suction too high and you'd risk ruining the pile? Purely curious
@MarkSaiger6 ай бұрын
This is a wonderful question by the way. The Butler would be a bit strong on vaccum for some attachments maybe, but more of a problem is the dry dust along could harm the Butlers vaccum blower. They do make a unit called a dust downer that will spray water mist into the vaccum line so you can use a vaccum attachment, but in the end it was still hard on blowers and would plug up a filter pretty quickly. So a vaccum with a good beater bar and suction is easier to use and maintain overall. Thank you for your comment 😊

I need some help!. I cleaned some spots in a family room for a customer where the dog had defecated in 3 areas. They had used the usual spot remover but did not completely remove the stain. I cleaned it and post treated with 3% hydrogen peroxide. I figured I would have to return to touch up when the carpet dried. I did and the carpet looked fine but the odor was still present. I covered the spots with baking soda and then sprayed hydrogen peroxide, I waited about 20 minutes and extracted. I have used this for years and found it mostly successful in removing pet odors. When the carpet dried the odor was gone but there was some residue from the baking soda that was not completely removed. I returned a third time and spent a good deal of time extracting. I went back a 4th time and the treated spots looked like milk had drenched those areas and it looks great when I rinse but looks the same again when it dries. I know its not their spot remover because its exactly the size of the area I treated which is larger then the original spot. The carpet is synthetic and tomorrow I will spray an acid solution to see if it helps. Does anyone have an idea of why this happened?.
@MarkSaiger7 ай бұрын
There is a chance their spotter could have done some chemical damage that is causing problems. And it could be in the pad and wicking back up. Or their chemistry is slowly reacting each time with yours. You are maybe seeing it becoming larger also with each treatment as it could be spreading out. A water claw or spot claw hooked to the extractor might help pull out more from below. If you do not have a water claw, you can get a water trap that they use in plumbing into your floor. Use the opening that has the holes on it (the cover to the trap) as your suction and your water claw. That will help put lift on the spot. You can also reach out to me. Our website will have our office number. You can leave a message they will forward to me and I will call you back. I would need some pictures when we talk to help me analyze what's going on. By the way, the acid rinse might work, but there could be something more going on

What kind of carpeting is the best for no stains?
@MarkSaiger6 ай бұрын
This is a polyester which can resist some staining, but it has other wear traffic problems. We personally like nylon carpets but they do need a protectant and staining can happen sometimes. But we like the wear and feel of nylon

Never have good luck removing that dog smell
@MarkSaiger7 ай бұрын
It's some of the worst. We tell people it's like a smoke damage. The smell gets into walls and ceilings, duct work and hvac. Osb woods absorb it. Around window sills. It's awful. We typically can get it out of the carpet, but the house will still smell so they think it's in the carpet yet. So we take it for the team and get our noses right on the carpet to check for smell 😅
