If nylon carpet has become hard and crunchy from someone cleaning with a high ph cleaner without a proper rinse. Is this recoverable after the fact? Is it possible to make the carpet feel new again
@MarkSaiger5 сағат бұрын
It should be fixable. Maybe just a cleaning with an acid rinse such as our Saiger's Deep Blue All Purpose - All Fiber could do it. But it might need an entire recleaning if the product used needs to be cleaned out. Not all high pH cleaners will make carpet feel crunchy, but there could be a chance if not rinsed out thoroughly

What temperature is your set up for this job ?
@MarkSaiger14 сағат бұрын
It was running around 280 degrees at the van. But by the time you get to the inside and to the cleaning tool you're probably down around 220 degrees

Is there a trade off to having a hybrid glide Mark? Do you lose any suction or is it harder to push/pull?
@MarkSaiger2 күн бұрын
A hybrid glide will help with the wand chatter but also still does well on suction. The slot glide can pick up more debris over all so in this case I was running into chunks of food. We do use a Hybrid glide quite often including with our Wands. It's kind of like a golf game of selecting what club might get you the best results at the moment.

Hi Mark. You referred me to some of your pre-treating products products on your merch site. It's a bit confusing so let me tell you the situation and you can tell me exactly what to order. Carpet in my Family room is 2 or 3 years old. It's an off white color but very light. Not a berber. It's a product by Shaw carpeting. I have a Hoover upright carpet cleaning machine. The carpet gets normal soil which sort of cleans up ok but after drying, you can see soil spots that return as soon as it's dry. Point me in the right direction. Thanks.
@MarkSaiger4 күн бұрын
@@richmargadonna2155 here are my thoughts. If the spots coming back are tan in color such as from a coffee spill or soda I would reccomend you misting hydrogen peroxide on those stains and leaving it to keep working. Don't rinse it out. Just leave to keep slowly ozidize out those stains. That hydrogen peroxide is the hydrogen peroxide you get uptown for treating wounds. If the spots are more of a greasy problem I would have to try and reccomend something different. For one of our products, I would reccomend 10 Below prespray most likely for that. It's a 9.5 pH warranty safe product. Our Saiger's Sauce 1 is a bit stronger but probably not needed. Mix the powdered prespray at one of the 2 ounce scoops that come in the container with one gallon of hot water in a pump up pressure sprayer. You can just use a garden supply pump up sprayer. Apply that to your carpet and then use your extractor with the solution they reccomend to run in the machine. This would be the first thing I try. Hope this can be of some help

Hi Mark, always fun to watch your videos. Your Work Ethic is impressive. Question, what makes the Mini Zip more effective in some cases? Is it simply The smaller size or is it a different mechanism?

Mark, what is the pump pressure for cleaning such carpet?
@MarkSaiger7 күн бұрын
With a Super Spinner Zipper we are 850 to 1000 psi. The jets are angled more than a tile and grout turbo. They glance the carpet more. Regular Zippers we will run 500 to 600 psi pretty typically, but in a greasy moment of thick grease, we sometimes will go higher to cut through the grease, then cut the pressure back down to normal running psi
