Staff of Fire is pointless with the new elemental damage upgrade, you need air runes more than fire fyi. Edit - Wind attacks hit the same as fire attacks now once you've unlocked the level required for the fire attack. The damage scales for all elements.

Wait, does that mean I can use Wind Strike instead of fire to save Air runes if I use Staff of Air? And damage is gonna be the same?

@KvesenRS yeah exactly that! If you google elemental update osrs recently they made changes that make sense e.g water against dragons does more damage, fire against ice giants does more damage etc. Monsters now have elemental weaknesses and depending on the % you deal more damage. For example water strike max is 9 but against a dragon it's 18 cause of their -100% water weakness. You can literally water strike blue dragons for 18 damage. To balance this all spell unlocks increase in dps up to fire damage so originally its like 2 for air, 5 for earth, 7 water, 9 fire but now for each tier you unlock you unlock the new dps for all elements
