About to go 2 years strong with my captain deck! I love this spin of mill but being combat based. Which I based my deck around. Very few “mill x cards” in the deck but rather choose to have a bunch of giant creatures that can in for big damage and mill. It gives a bit more agency to the other players to help combat the strat.

Added him to my Lord Xander deck a while ago, and Captain just performs better and becomes the MVP if out first, to the point I am now going to reconstruct into a Cap'n deck. The copies route does seem interesting. Was considering blue to perma tap to combine with meance but going to have to take this under consideration.

I already own it but you gave me some good ideas on how to upgrade! It's a really fun deck to play even though I rarely win with it since I tend to get focused down for being too evil I guess😅🤷‍♂️

No, especially with lower level players its simply too oppressive. Either you play 1v3 which doesnt feel fun or fair for the person running that commander or you just take over the game and no one can do anything which doesnt feel good for the other 3. The only real way to deal with it is t o just run something that overpowers it and you end up in the same scenario. It's a powerful deck for sure, and it feels great to play for a game or 2, but the commander is so snowballing that its very hard to find decks that can compete fairly
