For Spyglass, I'd try duping it with Mooncat's Sabertooth and HT's Scattered Holo Taco since Sabertooth already has that nice blue shimmer in it. Also - would it be possible to include how many coats of each polish you did for the dupes? I was really surprised by Gift Receipt and Charla and am curious what your coat breakdown looks like! Love this series :)

Base color is always 2 coats (never more never less) toppers are only one coat unless I say different in the video (like my last dupe vid)

I bought Spyglass and Inside job, I already was considering Mooncat's Sabertooth but Spyglass is just a little bit more extra and Inside job bc I am Holo taco's average customer and love purple and holographic glitter. Also Im really glad I have both Life in plastic and Antihero, had no idea they are so expensive/hard to find on the resale market.

I bought the collection plus some others. I did good and waited for the sale to get the space ones I wanted as well as some creams. I did snag the matte topcoat to try. I do hope HT does more jellies or a crushed holo neon collection.

I was wearing the Tide is Right from kbshimmer this week and wondered if it would be a close dupe for Teal me no lies. I love a good turquoise teal polish. Anyway, I'll find out when I get my order. I only picked up teal me no lies and some polishes from the space collection or whatever it's called.

Since the point of duping within your own collection is to use what you already have, I don't see a reason to calculate a dupe cost. Everyone's dupes will be different based on what they have at home, I always use these videos as encouragement to play within my own polish collection before purchasing new polish.

I got Inside Job and Teal no Lies. Teal no Lies looks SO amazing. I am thinking to get the square glitters of Smokeshow without the greyish tint from the jelly base , I would sponge it on. Are you allowed to sponge on a polish instead of using the brush? I'm tempted now to try some jewel toned jellies with smokeshow sponged between layers of jelly.

Honestly I've been loving Charla. on its own you can see a bit of visible nail line but a blurring base solves that easy!

Not bad!! 💅 I have a question about Gift Receipt. I am kind of new to HT, I really like silvery polishes, and that one has been on my radar, but I've been hesitant to pick up because I've seen some redditors say that the metal foil tends to tarnish in the bottle after a year or so, so the color changes. Have you had any issues like that? I did order this teal, though! Keep it up, your videos are fun

I'm Holo Taco Royalty and I dislike this collection. I have no idea who voted for these colors and finishes, but they're so wrong for it.

When I saw the teal I hoped it would be a new color of frosted metal, I think that formula is underrated. The dusty pink isn't for me, it's too light/pastel for my skin tone and style preference. Which color/finishes would you have wanted? Would you change a few things or start with a different color palette?

@@LeiranNZ honestly, I don't like glitter or jelly polishes. I feel like the color story is a mess - disjointed and doesn't make any sense to be together in a collection. The teal is the best of the collection.

@@LeiranNZ I don't mind the colors individually, minus that god-awful purple. I just don't think they work together for a collection. The purple however can go right in the garbage. The color, the formula, the glitter (which I HAAATTTEE), all of it, straight in the bin. If they discontinued that finish, I would be so happy.

@@MissReneeMichelle Yeah true, I don't really see how this is a collection, feels more like 4 random polishes. Kinda feels like the pink/purple/blue are there because those are popular. Not sure how popular teal is. Only the pink and blue would be a cute combo, the whole collection as a skittle mani... Not at all
