I've always really resonated with Knowledge... not only because of the insect themes but because of how it's often represented less as "knowing things" and more as "wanting to know things". As a kid I was one of those ""gifted"" kids and that's why I picked Knowledge, but I had that obvious gifted kid crash and burn... but even now I still love to learn and am really curious about things that interest me.

Yeah i always seen that crest more as curiosity than knowledge. (Had the same origin story btw, the omg he learns so fast he is so smart, so since I learned easily i never actually learned how to study and how to put in an effort because i was already “smart”)

I've always liked trying to come up with crests. Some I have thought of are: The Crest of Empathy, which might seem like a duplicate of Kindness, but I was more thinking of it as being the crest of being able to put yourself in others shoes and relate to them. It would represent the ability to see things subjectively. The Crest of Calmness, representing the ability to stay calm and levelheaded, as well as being able to look at thinks objectively. The Crest of Determination, representing the ability to persevere and push on.

My preferred crest is probably Sincerity/Purity, to the point that I have a pendant of it. I love most plant Digimon, and always thought Shurimon was the coolest armor in 02. Other than that, though, I'd say Reliability/Honesty is my second choice. I guess if I were to have two Digimentals like the 02 kids, they'd be Sincerity and Reliability. Plants and aquatic creatures!

If I had to pick a Crest for myself from the existing ones, I'd probably say the Crest of Love. Like, obviously I strive to be courageous, knowledgeable, kind, etc. when I can, but if we're talking about what motivates me and where I get my "power," it's almost definitely my love for others, and when I do fall short, it's usually like Kaito in Survive when my love for someone close to me gets twisted up.

Idk if this is just because I identified with Kari & TK growing up as a younger sibling (they are canonically born in '92/'93, which would make us the same age), but Light and Hope have always resonated with me most. If I were gonna make my own crest, it'd be Joy. Partner line might be Cutemon->Rabbitmon->Lekismon->Diarabbitmon.

I actually came up with 11 unique crests (12 if you include a story idea I later axed) for a Ben 10/Digimon crossover fanfic that I'm writing: Adaptability, Ambition, Patience, Forgiveness, Discovery, Creativity, Confidence, Leadership, Loyalty, Dominion (think the poem "Invictus" by William Ernest Hensley), and Darkness (and Tenacity if you count the one I axed). Of those, I feel like I relate most to the crest I assigned to Gwen, the Crest of Ambition. I work two jobs while taking online classes toward my second bachelor's degree so that I can get a raise to support myself better when I start working on my master's in education. I also gave her the partner Digimon I would love to have myself (and one I know that Karn will appreciate): Hyokomon.

I was always fascinated by how opposites interact. As such, when I wasn’t imagining my own self created digimon partner, I used to imagine I had two partners: a gatomon and a blackgatomon (or rather, a salamon with a holy ring and one without). Since I wanted a crest to match the duality of my two partners, I came up with the Crest of Balance. I never did figure out what it should look like, though. I tend to imagine things in words more than images.

My best friend, who died 2020 always said "you would have the Digicrest of Love - maybe Hope and Light too - but Love for sure!" He was such a kind and beautiful soul, he knew his time on our planet was short, so he was always honest and lived every day, like it would be his last.. 🥺 i worked on a digimon, with a very talented artist this year. It turned out perfectly, it's a mix of me, my favorite Digimon and the crest of Love (my own rendition of it) i wanted to honor my best friend, with this commission, i bet he would like the result 🩷 If i had to choose for him; He would have the Digicrests of Friendship and Courage for sure 🧡🩵

I've always been drawn to the crest of kindness too. (Must be a late '93 thing, ha ha). I recall getting it as a quiz result a long time ago and it stuck as 'my' crest. For the quizzes that don't have that as an option though, I tend to get either reliability or friendship.

Bit of a copout; In one of the old wonderswan games there is mention of a digimental translated as "Tenacity". So going off the assumption that that there is a crest for every digimental, I personally feel REALLY connected to that concept; I am a stubborn lil shit and have been described as having a very strong will. And often if if im in a position where I can't do anything else one of my defaults is to make an immediate decision, act on it and stick to it regardless of consequence/circumstance. So tenacity, often meaning "being determined", made sense in my mind. BUUUT if I could choose a made-up or more personal one, It'd probably be Will ( same reason as tenacity but more based on the action after the fact) or Acceptance (also a default of mine; finding the balance between it and will is a running theme of my life)

You know, I am reminded of some sort of chat/text-based Digimon RPG I'd stumbled across years ago - they had a grand total of 24 crests, I believe it was. 8 virtue-aligned crests, 8 vice-aligned, and 8 neutral alignment, IIRC. (Slightly weird that Kindness got sorted into the neutral alignment, but they wanted to make sure the original 8 were a complete set). Anyway, I've always thought that would make for a really cool setup for some series. Give them a Genai-like figure who sends them on a hunt for crests in order to access greater power and survive. *BUT* he sends them on the hunt for the vice-aligned crests, and he's the twist villain. And up until this twist reveal, he's been subtly acting as a bad influence on them.

I took the same quizzes. Karns results compared to my own. 1. Courage - Courage: Are we even sure that it's possible to get another result with that one cause I answered my questions very differently than Karn did. 2. Love - Love: Seriously again? 3. Reliability - Reliability: I swear I did not just copy Karn on any of these, what the heck? 4. Friendship - Sincerity: FINALLY we got one that actually has a different result. 5. Love/Hope - Friendship/Sincerity Apparently that last quiz only had 4 possible results so it was always going to come up with 2 answers. I can't believe I got the exact same results as Karn on 3 out of 5.

i don't need a quiz to know i'd be knowledge crest and likely have a guilmon as a partner. following my heart for context: i'm a sucker for hidden lore and actively seek it (lore is told by environmental storytelling, in item descriptions, bios, etc[i.e. dark souls]), i love to theory craft, and the fact that i want to have all my facts, risks and options in a row before i make a judgement call, and i tend to lead with my head rather than my heart, which is why guilmon is a good counterpart to me; guilmon (especially if they're anything like takato's guilmon) would likely lead with their heart rather than their head

of those official (might have to get your secondary crest vid a looksee) crests, I identify with Friendship, Reliability and Kindness (to be fair, I do not see myself as kind, maybe closer to compassionate if I was comfortable describing myself as I simply try to do for others what I would like them to do if I were in there situation). each of the traditional partners of these crests are those you see in forests, aquatic and ice areas, which are places I find myself the most comfortable, my places of peace. Second to those crests would be Intelligence and Hope, a very close one at that

I'm pretty bad when it comes to introspection, but I'd say Sincerity/Purity is my ideal. Mimi was my favorite of the digidestined, and i find all the nature and jaoanese themed digimon to be my favorite. I can be hot-headed, downright stubborn on my beliefs. Fully honest, I'll let you know if i have issues, whether that's me venting frustrations or if i think you're in the wrong. In my friend groups, I'm not a follower per se, nor do I think I lead often, I tend to be a mediator between people, supporting others when I can. Courage I can see being my secondary crest, tbh flamedramon is my favorite Armor Digivolution.

So about seven or eight years ago I was at a game shop and I noticed something on the floor shining in the sunlight so I went to investigate and to my surprise it was the crest of light my first impulse was to pick it up but instead I asked everyone in the room if it belonged to anyone there nobody claimed it so I left it there with the shop keep two weeks later I went back and to my surprise again it was back on the floor in the exact same place so this time I took it and now I keep it on my keyring so even though I'm a guy who's favorite color is green and who's favorite Digimon from season one is a tie between gabumon and patamon I ended up with the crest of light so I suppose my Digimon is gatomon (or maybe Rosemont since the big pink orb on her chest has the crest of light on it)
