Can I finish the MUDDIEST MARATHON ever!?

The marathon I have chosen is called The South Downs & Arundel Marathon, It is also known as the Winter Trails Marathon as it is in January, in the middle of deepest darkest winter.
Only two days before we had endured a couple of weeks of sub zero temperatures so I thought that my biggest challenge on this run would be the cold and frozen terrain. I was wrong I was very very wrong!!!
Last night we had a storm come over the south of the country with high winds and a lot of rain, the temperatures had risen from below zero to about 9 degrees centigrade so my challenge wasn’t hard frozen trails, my challenge was now mud, and a lot of it!
