I sneezed just watching this 🤧 Great collection. So much enjoyment to be had here. Like you say, it's the films that count. Eureka MOC is probably my favourite big label.

Yeah, I like to have everything in as good as condition as I possibly can, but ultimately the real joy comes from the movies themselves.

Love it. Love how all those look.

Ryaaaaaaan! "I was home the whole time? The whole time?!"
These are some of my most favourite video formats. Just looking at, enjoying and appreciating boutique labels and their releases up close. There doesn't have to be much of overarching reason for these types of videos as the films and their releases are the ones to be celebrated.

Yeah it's fun to do them as well, I'm trying to get back to doing more stuff like this, which reminds me of the earlier days of my channel!

Nice MoC collection you got there. Did you change the case for Sunrise? Mine came in a slim case, well annoying 😅
@RazorwireReviews4 ай бұрын
Nope! When did you buy it?
@astralpurrjection59314 ай бұрын
@@RazorwireReviews had it a few years now, it says 2009 Eureka Entertainment Ltd on the back. It's a slim blue case. Prolly gonna swap it for a clear case, so they're all the same thickness.
@RazorwireReviews4 ай бұрын
Yeah that'd be an original pressing then, likely!

My own cheat here would be to add in 2 more shelves, there is the space for them, just needs brackets and screws and a bit of time.
@Joooools50005 ай бұрын
Don't think you'd even need brackets as there's visible holes for the metal pegs. The spacing doesn't always work out with these, but should be room for one more.
@RazorwireReviews5 ай бұрын
Yeah, there's just not a good way to get more shelves, I wish the company I bought the units from just simply offered spares to buy. Eventually I'd like a more space efficient unit/s to house the collection.

Solid collection, how much would this have costed like? I’m 21 and have seen nearly 2000 movies, but this would be expensive and take ages to get through, gotta love these releases though.
@RazorwireReviews4 ай бұрын
I have no idea, it took over 10 years for me to complete it, and that was quite literally hardlining every Christmas and birthday with requests for MoC blu-rays which helped a lot! There also used to be unbelievable sales on the old old Eureka website where you could get some of these editions for like 6-7 pounds each. I really couldn't put a realistic price on it though.

Amazing collection! Am I the only one slightly underwhelmed by the choice for spine 300? I feel like they should have saved the Louis Feuillade boxset for number 300.
@RazorwireReviews5 ай бұрын
I do mention that, yeah, seems like it would have been a perfect mic drop to celebrate the milestone but it's not big of a deal really. If anything it hopefully gives us the impression that any kind of massive release could be just around the corner.
@danielturner87405 ай бұрын
How many non-MOC Eureka's do you have? I have spine no. 20 twice - DVD is Shinoda's Assassination, the bluray is Kobayashi's Hara-kiri..
@RazorwireReviews5 ай бұрын
At a quick count 60, encompassing 97 films.
@iododendron34165 ай бұрын
Wait, the first releases got a blue case? I ordered a bunch of Billy Wilder movies from the MoC collection from Amazon a few years back and Lost Weekend arrived with a blue case. Which I always considered odd as none my other MoC cases are blue. Also, being blue in German means being drunk, which weirdly fits The Lost Weekend.
@RazorwireReviews5 ай бұрын
Yes, I believe the very first releases were in blue cases and were blu-ray only. Then they were re-released as dual format in clear cases.
@iododendron34165 ай бұрын
@@RazorwireReviews seems I got lucky then. Though I prefer the clear cases. I associate the blue ones with 'regular' releases and not 'boutique' blu rays

Speaking of films not in the MOC line, Kore-eda's Our Little Sister just got released in 4K by Plain Archive. Though, you probably know already.

As it's been sitting on the floor of my office in its extremely stuffed with bubble wrap box, yes, I'm aware of it haha. Though I've heard that it's upscaled to 4K, potentially with AI, so I'm avoiding even looking at it right now...

Is Late Mizogotchi worth it? Seen it for sale second hand for over €350 here in Ireland. Couldn't justify spending that much on a few movies tbh.
@RazorwireReviews5 ай бұрын
For that kind of price? Absolutely not. It's an amazing box set, with at least two stone cold classics, but I got my copy as a Christmas present back when it cost about... £45. The pricing on that after it went out of print has always been ludicrous to me.

I love Eureka releases but there’s no way I’d even have everything. I am quite selective but I don’t see it possible for anyone to find every single release or genre to be top of their list of movies they want to own. I guess I just don’t understand the collect every spine number mentality to display on one’s shelf.
@RazorwireReviews4 ай бұрын
I've talked about my reasons before but I'd be happy to make a video talking about it if you're interested.

@@RazorwireReviews Having just found your channel of course I’ve not seen many of your videos, yet. Does it need a whole video, though?

I'm very late to the series and up to around 150 already. Keep telling myself I'm not going to complete them so just calm down 😬

Yeah I got my collecting going early enough that it wasn't *too* difficult to keep up, but there's so much that's OOP now it must be very tough to tackle these days!
