Looking good out there! Honestly, there's something satisfying about having the least expensive car on the track
@RefineMovement3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! I totally agree. I like having my underdog car out there amongst the super cars. Something really funny about carving up the same corners as Porsches and Ferraris in my cheap Civic lol
@upfactoryracing41483 жыл бұрын
Heck yeah that looked like a blast. Don't feel bad about having the cheap car because you have put in all your work where I am sure others bought their power and are playing with their toys. Just have fun and the rest will follow!

Nice, thank you for that! Yeah I enjoy having the underdog car honestly. Make something go fast that probably shouldn’t lol. We have a blast out there, thank you!

Good to see another video of the EG, I love the panda look with the beefy wheel/tire setup. Have you thought about learning to tune? A stockish D-series is the perfect way to get comfortable with tuning. You won't make much extra power, but it is pretty cool. I have my D15'A6' on a demon-2 board running Neptune

Needs some spoon mirrors and some carbon fiber panels .. and some big Brake kit .. and some supension braces stiff her up some more .. have u try adding b18 throttle body on d16 works good for me n I port the housing alittle to max it out to perfection.. give it a try cost me 20$ at junkyard.
@RefineMovement3 жыл бұрын
I've heard about that B18 throttle body on D16 before. Sounds cool. As far as bigger brakes I don't really feel the need for them at the moment with the power level my engine has, but I'm always open to experiment with that! For sure when more power is added I would want to increase the stopping power too.
@edwinc2013 жыл бұрын
@@RefineMovement Would appreciate a video on a b18 throttle body if you end up doing it
@mugensohc2.2713 жыл бұрын
@@RefineMovement trust me once u port out ur stock manifold and add b18 u just saved 100$ on aftermarket one I did it and worth trip to yard and 20min quick port to match 20$ quick mod . I also took the throttle body wire and tightened it up making the pedal feel more firm makes it snap open faster .. easy mod and u still stay stock looking “ also look into Mini Cooper upgrade setup for brakes .. also junkyard cheap upgrade..

@@RefineMovement I would recommend the ITR caliper(same as some accord and acura CL cars too)/Mini cooper rotor combo if you do upgrade the brakes and already have EX/Integra Knuckles. The only reason why I would recommend it is b/c it is a cheap mod that can easily be done vs spending money on the smaller stock stuff. Though it does add some weight vs the standard Integra and civic calipers, but it is a good budget setup incase you do add additional power.

Cool video!!! Have you ever thought about swapping it for a b18 or b20 Non vtec? They put at least 50whp more than a single cam.
@RefineMovement3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yeah, I’ll be doing more power. For now my goal has been to learn to drive the car on track at this power level before adding more. When I do add more power I’ll make sure it’s a good bump up
@bagfumbler3 жыл бұрын
@@RefineMovement Definitely man, learn from my mistake, I originally planned on doing a non-VTEC B20 in my EK hatch since I outgrew the single cam on track, and a really nice deal popped up on a B16 head and all the parts to make it a B20VTEC, and it's definitely a lot to get used to, I wish I had just swapped in a non-VTEC B20 first.

What ecu did you use for your y8 I’m having trouble with my CKP sensor I just swap a d16y8 on my 95 ej coupe,, did you bypass it??
@RefineMovement2 жыл бұрын
I used a chipped P28 ecu. The modification within it was made to run the Y8 at its correct timing. The only other modification to it was the O2 sensor delete.

zip tie on the axle boot.... a man of class I see.
@RefineMovement3 жыл бұрын
LOL That's what the axle boots came with to strap them down. Holding on like a champ haha. What do you use?
@garf1173 жыл бұрын
@@RefineMovement oh man half my car is zip ties and duct tape lol if it works it works. also while I have you here. Thoughts on using blank (cheap) rotors and sticky pads vs something like stoptech drilled/slotted? I am running brembo blanks with hawk hp plus pads and feel like they do the job. Ran stoptech slotted before and couldn't tell a difference. Granted I'm a track day baby so I doubt I get full use of what I have now.
@5PYZ3R2 жыл бұрын
@@garf117 Any material that you remove from blanks is going to reduce friction(braking). That's why you'll see a lot of track cars running blanks. Slots can help with cooling and water removal, but they also eat pads and create more dust. Crossdrilled is basically only aesthetic at this point, maybe an argument for weight savings, but they also develop cracks easily Blanks/hawkhp is the perfect street/autocross setup. but for circuit lapping you'll want an actual race pad. Take the slot/drill money and get a good quality fluid

LSD should be a great upgrade!
@RefineMovement3 жыл бұрын
Yeah for sure an LSD would help me put the power down. Before that even I need to get some sway bars installed. lol a Civic with no huge rear sway bar, crazy I know. So some bars would help me to keep the inside unloaded tire hitting the ground but yeah, after that a LSD would really do work
