Does this only apply to suspensions? What if my license is revoked? Can I move to another state and get a license as long as I have proof of residency in that new state? To anyone reading this- does anyone have any experience with this?

This is not true at all. I'm suspended in Connecticut and Georgia and Tennessee both said I can't get a license in there states. I even took the test and passed in Georgia. Got to the counter and they were like sike.

I have my license revoked because of a medical situation. I sent my doctors reports that said I was cleared to drive. The medical board said they didn’t get the report. I then faxed it and mailed it certified but they say they didn’t get it. What do I do now? It’s not my fault why they didn’t get it.

I haven't driven in about 10 years so I haven't had my license in about 10 years so I recently got a vehicle and would like to start driving. It. But now I live in Philadelphia Pennsylvania would I be able to get a driver's license? My driver's license back and what I have to take the written test and the protest all over again. No, my license is suspended in Tennessee. Legally I have driving rights in every other state, but illegally, no other state I have lived in will let me have a license, that includes Georgia, Florida, and Maryland

This might be a weird question. I see cases where as a part of a punishment an officer hands in their police certification. Can officers recertify or get a certification in another state or can they really never be a police officer again?

@@leroystrokesmen5666 good luck! According to many websites Georgia doesn’t share records so it could work. Craziest part about my story, is that the dmv could see a ticket I got in New Hampshire, but for some reason I wasn’t flagged as being suspend in mass. Even weirder is that now, when I check my license standing with mass, is doesn’t say I’m suspended anymore. Oh and also, I live full time in Montana now, so if you don’t live in Alabama it won’t work. You need proof of residence.

@@christianalley7669 actually I do have proof of residence. My parents live there and I just was gonna use their's until I get this issue resolved. Plus. Car insurance is cheaper in Alabama

I have a questions.... I live in NY had 3 Dwi 2002 / & 2 dui 2008 /2011 ....... In NY they tried to pass a law like Florida were 3 of them ( drugs or alcoholic) plus a SDO ( SERIOUS DRIVING OFFENSE ) they take it away for LIFE ..... I have a weird situation... technically mine was never taken away for life but that's only because when I got out of jail I spent like $6k clearing up my license, sent my renewal application to ALBANY, NY were your supposed to get a yes or no back with in 12 weeks ..... well over a year went buy and I called them and they said they had no record of my application and they couldn't find it and that it wasn't tge first time cause there so backed up cause Governor Cumo was making them hold back the applications over a year until his law got passed .. Well NY didn't pass the law thinking it was too strict and so he went to the DMV COMMISIONER and had it made a REGULATION ... Now if I didn't have a SDO it would be Revoked for just 5 years ..... but they count a SDO as several little things that aren't that serious... like driving without a license , getting 20 or more points on your license in a lifetime ( wich is pretty easy to do ) .... I never hurt anyone , had a hit and run , ect .... But I got out of jail in 2012 March 1st and I drove for about 10 years without a license having my truck insured under my wife's name or friend's name ..... I'm no longer doing that anymore in the last 3 or 4 years now and I just turned 38 last week and don't want to keep living like this or not driving or driving illegally .. its very very hard to live in LONG ISLAND and get around with out a car ....... but I am moving down south to VIRGINIA most likely this year ( possibly North Carolina) Nothing set in stone but probably VIRGINIA..... Now to try to make this ling story short I have a very good friend who lives in Virginia that was kinda in the same spit as me 1 DWI in NY AND 2 IN FLORIDA... So she couldn't get a l I cease for a while and she moved from here down south and she had her Virginiaaddress for a while and she told me she just Wal k Ed into the DMV .... AND SAID SHE NEVER HAD A LICENSEBEFORE AND SHE GOT A PERMIT THAT DAY AND WAS TOLD IN 45 DAYS SHE COULD COME BACK AND GET HER FULL LICENSE ( IM ASSUMINGBY ROAD TEST ) BUT THE ISAUE I HAVE BELIVING AND EVEN WHAT YOU SAID IS BEING ABLE TO DRIVE IN ANOTHER STATE .... IVE BEEN DOING RESEARCH SINCE 2012 PROBABLY A 1000 HOURS LOOKING UP ANY LOOPHOLES ECT ..... BUT ALL THE STATES HAVE THERE DMV COMPUTERS CONECTED THROUGH 2 DIFFERENT GROUPS THIS WAY THE PEOPLE WHO GET THERE LICENSE SUSPENDED DONT JUST GO TO ANOTHER STATE AND GET THEIR DRIVERS LICENSE THERE !!!!! ESPICALLY NY IS VERY STRICT UNLIKE SONE OTHER STATES IF YOU GET YOUR LICENSE SUSPENDED HERE YOU CANT GET ANOTHER ONE IN ANOTHER STATE - IF YOU ALREADY HAD ANOTHER LICENSE IN ANOTHER STATE - YOU CAN DRIVE ANYWERE BUT NY !!!! NOW I FULLY BELIVE MY FRIEND 100% THAT SHE GOT HER LICENSE BUT THINK EITHER SHE GOT LUCKY SOMEHOW ... OR SINCE SHE HAD ONE HERE IN NY AND 2 IN FLORIDA OR MAYBE THE SUSPENDION IN NY WAS LIFTED ?????? ANY HELP UOU CAN PROVIDE 2OULD BE APPRECIATED SOO MUCH AND WILL REWARDCYOU WIRH CASH IF YOU COULD FIND A WAY TO GET MY LICENSE BACK / WELL FIND A WAY TO GET A LICENSE IN ANOTHER STATE !!!
