I just got a 1974 CB360 out of a barn that I've been working on and buying parts for. Wife thinks I'm crazy, I think it's awesome.

Great video, enjoying your content. Looks like we have similar taste in bikes. My first was a Honda V-45 from 1984, next was a 2007 Honda VTX1300r. The VTX is absolutely an incredible bike and so friggin easy to work on. Careful not to fall in love with this one it will grow on you fast and before you know it 10 years will go by and you are still riding the VTX1300. Cool video, but like I commented on the V-65 video, maybe more in depth when tearing down and reassembling parts??? Looks like you are on your way to a very informative and entertaining channel. Keep the videos coming loving it, so far!!!!

I have bought a few vtx 1300 that did not run it has always been the petcock and vaccuum lines to the petcock .throttle slide diafram fuel inlet needle defective choke not closing allowing to much fuel .pump diaphragm. See my videos when you get them fixed they make excellent bikes my last one had 20000 miles i put jets 58/195. Cobra long exhaust . Gutted the factory air box. Deleted the choke and emissions it runs like a beast you barley touch start fires right up every time

I would not have given a grand for a non running bike. Don't care if it was worth more in parts. Still takes a lot of labor to tear down a bike and list/ship all those parts. This bike taken to a mechanic would likely have cost more than a grand to get it up and running. Tires are another 500+. Was it a deal? Maybe if you are keeping it for yourself, not if you are selling it. Not many guys would buy it at 3K unless you put new tires on it. It was cool that you got it up and running, but I would advise you to pay less for non runners. It's basically scrap if it does not run, and very few people will buy a bike that isn't running. There could have easily been more major problems, so you are better off paying as little as possible. You are doing the owner a favor getting the scrap metal out of their garage. Because it's a boat anchor unless it runs. You have NO idea what you are really buying until you tear it down. And sellers lie, we all know that. Never buy a bike without a title, unless you are just stripping it for parts.

Around my area there’s no finding a bike with a clean title for under a grand unless you know the owner. The guy I bought this one for wanted $2,500 which was obviously pricy for an unknown bike but the market is crazy inflated.
