Can I Kill A Cougar in WolfQuest?

Really hoping they get some changes soon, they basically just sit there and let you kill them, barely a threat at all, even on accurate. They don’t run at full speed to attack you, and don’t react if you get close. They just crouch there endlessly and very rarely lash out on their own. There’s no punishment for biting them if you let go before the damage is dealt, because instead of turning around and clawing the heck out of your wolf, like a real cougar would if they were threatened, they just run away and starting crouching again. Like another person said here, it would be more realistic if they swiped at you after you bite them, and maybe distanced themselves or clawed you if you get close to them. Not to mention their “charge” attack, where they just kinda speed trot at you. The WQ website says that they are faster than wolves and can deal heavy damage in quick succession. But really, they are slow and take a very long time to attack you, even with a full fight meter while you are standing right in front of them. A cougar in WQ couldn’t catch up to a WQ wolf even if they wanted to. Really hope some changes are made to better match their real-life counterparts.

Yeah me and some others have sent multiple bug reports but nothing has ever come out of them

And one of the facts on the loading screens are “cougars are MORE than a match for a wolf but they still like to avoid them”

They are actually powerful and can kill a wolf when its a one v one fight.

Also they should be able to easily fling back and claw you Felines are usually a lot more agile. They won't just let you hang on to their leg

​​​@@cathouse791 bigger felines like cougars should also be stronger because of their muscle density and fast twitch muscle fibers and in real life a cougar would not just run the minute a wolf bites it because that's not how they fight

Yeah one tried to attack my pups once and my wolf is aggressive to those who try and attack her family so her life quest is to get close or kill any animal that tried to hurt her family so I could almost kill the cougar.

⁠@@cathouse791late but this is definitely not accurate, you’re doing a ton of damage with low stamina, the cougar is almost always doing less damage than you, and your stamina drain is extremely slow even when sprinting honestly this looks like easy mode to me

@elysium_music I talked with the devs after the video was published and they said that the damage and drain of stamina were broken in that patch. And the only setting you could play on was easy even if it was accurate. But that bug was fixed a while back now.
