From the comal to the tortilla press, like those are some of the main kitchen tools you'll find in any Mexican household. Like I'm just so blown away by the little things. Most people would use wax paper and a rolling pin to get that tortilla thin and most people would also use a regular pan to cook the gorditas. How cute is Steven when he happily sings "you are so pretty!" to the pan-fried naan?

it's quite literally the most wholesome display of love to have a person go through the stress and effort of tailoring a dish for their friend when they know it's going to be eaten in less than an hour and possibly won't be enjoyed by anyone But them. the fact that steven, shane, and ryan are all genuinely grateful and care so much about some food just makes my heart warm. both times i've teared up as the dishes are presented and all three of the guys express their gratitude and appreciation for the meal and each other. this show is wonderful and i absolutely hope it gets renewed over and over and over again. (also: can you make a subscription box or something with a pre-made, frozen version so i can experience this taco at home? everything about it sounds right up my alley !!)

This is so dang wholesome it makes my heart happy. Steven recounting how much Ryan means to him; Ryan saying "I don't deserve this," followed by Steven answering, "Yes, you do"... That's a one way ticket to Tearing Up Town right there, population: my weepy ass

This is the comment I resonate with most 😭😭 I literally teared up by the wholesomeness and how genuinely happy Ryan looked 🥺

I swear, the happiness you feel as a result of making your friends happy is one of the purest forms of happiness in the world, and Steven managed to put that in a show?? Incredible! I mean the serotonin levels from watching this are off the charts

I made pie crust for a custard pie for my boyfriend for Christmas, and let me tell you I FELT this. The worst (and I'd never had custard pie lmao).

@@jaehenricksen9183 My first custard pie was a total disaster, the pie crust was hard as a rock and the custard... well, more like sweet scrambled egg, I'm cringing hard just thinking about it, we all been there.

When Steven jumps up & down for the naan and sings "you are so pretty!" to the naan, that's the most adorable thing I've seen in 2021.

the only thing more quintessentially steven lim than saying "we're making the most expensive taco we possibly can, let's go to taco bell for research" is bringing a grown man to tears with the result
