Ah as a born and bread Philadelphian, Heinze ketchup is a must and the only option. Peppers on a steak is acceptable. To me though, mostly it's an Italian neighborhood thing, and isn't widely added. Fried onions is the go to topping. Bacon is also acceptable as well as a cheesesteak hoagie (lettuce, tomato, onions).

Love it Ben. As a Watford FC fan, I remember the tales of ex-Watford striker Bobby Howfield. Back in 1968 he won an entry kicking contest at Wembley Stadium with the Kansas City Chiefs. He moved to the USA, and with the Chiefs unearthing another new kicker, he soon moved to the Denver Broncos, where he enjoyed three seasons of regularly kicking goals, before signing for the New York Jets in 1971. It was here that he set a new record for points scored by a place-kicker when on the 3 December 1972 he landed six successful kicks at the iconic Shea Stadium, scoring all of his side's points as they beat New Orleans Saints 18-17. The winning kick, from a massive 42 yards, came in the dying seconds. Hornet to Jet - what a story!

brilliant story, however, i wouldnt call 42 yards massive in the nfl. every nfl kicker is expected to make a 42 yard kick. appreciate you sharing this though!

@@foshuajabia3771 That's true now, a quick search shows that during the early 70s the Average FG made was 32-34 yards with most of them falling around the 30 yard mark. Not as impressive today, but then im sure it was.

@@Ontheroad13 I just went to the official nfl record book for 1970 and the majority of kickers hit most of their shots from 30-40 yards. 42 was not “massive” and it was definitely not impressive

America has always liked football. Very large majority of Americans you meet will say they played at some sort of organized level in their youth. Only problem has been that the pro level stunk, but now that it’s getting better you see kids sticking with the sport and following it more. I bet the following of the premier league in America peaks soon and dies down as the MLS keeps getting better honestly

@@daquaviousbingleton9763 you can say that but the premier league average attendance is 40k, mls is 21k. Compare this to 2010, mls at 16.6k with 13 less teams teams in the league, prem at 35.6k. MLS is growing at a very fast rate and it only increases year by year. I’m not talking about quality of play, it’s obviously behind in that, but I think 40 years from now the most popular league in the USA will be the MLS, not the premier league

My friends and I are from the suburbs, North of Philly and the last time we were in London we were looking for Fish & chips, but the place I found was closed. We ended up at Passyunk Avenue because they had a sign that said, "yo! Come on in!". It's the restaurant of brotherly love.

Would have been awesome to see you try some punting, Pat McAffe an ex pro punter has talked about how different it is to swing at a ball youre dropping vs stationary on the ground; when he was drafted to the NFL he self confessed didnt know how to punt and was more of a kicker (kicks the extra points and field goals) in college.

You should check out college football tailgates and pre-game shows. Fans will turn up to the stadium at 6 AM for a game that doesn't start until at least 12 PM and potentially as late as 8 PM. Dedication is right.
