I’m a goalie and till I turned 12 and played for Hertha BSC I used finger save. It wasn’t bad but, as soon as you want to get bigger sizes and more comfort then you need to buy without finger save. Also your fingers will not get stronger if you use finger save because without your fingers make themselves automatically stronger.

With finger saves they got ride of it because it bulky and hard to catch over time it becomes uncomfortable and makes it harder to catch the ball because it fix in an unnatural position.

As a goalkeeper and a goalkeeper coach myself, finger-saves don’t feel natural. They feel bulky and restrictive. And 99% of the time, if you have the correct technique when catching/saving your fingers don’t bend back much, if at all

I have the Under Armour Magnetico Pros shown in this video and can honestly say they are the best boots I’ve ever worn. Being able to really feel the ball makes so much of a difference when it comes to control and touch in tough areas. Gutted that I can’t find them online anymore to get a new pair

Fingersaves are widlely hated in the community (me included) due to your hand being in an unnatural fixed position making it harder to catch a ball. It also means you cant mske a fist to punch the ball either. Fingersave gloves also have wprse durabilty due to the latex being stretched more from the fingersaves

As a goalkeeper, I dislike finger saves because they cause me to lose the feel for the ball. It no longer gives the gloves a "second skin" type of feel which is very important to me. It all comes down to preference though.

Finger protection or finger saves are hated because they make it hard for your hands to move when you have them on as a keeper you need your hands to be free and not restricted that that small difference makes a big impact

The fingersaves forces your fingers to stay in an unnatural position, in fact when I entered college I actually suffered a tendon tear on my finger caused by an unnatural catching pose via the fingersaves. Plus most of the fractures come from when the ball hits the very tips of your fingers and not your fingerpads, if you have proper technique, you are all clear

I would have put the ‘X’ Shaped studs on the phantom gx as a hazard. They’re pretty sharp and far too aggressive for AG pitches which people definitely wear them in (me included). Now wear conical Tiempos.

im a goalie, finger saves are just a bit of thin plastic in the glove that can snap, mine snapped when stubbing my fingers going to catch the ball with a little argy bargy, plastic snapped and torn my tendon in the top knuckle of my finger (mallet finger) - 2 months with my finger in a cloths peg looking splint to reattch the tendon

Fingersaves are taking the damping away and the refore you have a more stiff situation when catching the Ball which is not what you want. You want the most control over the Ball you can have. And also the muscles and strings wont get trained with fingersave. Greetings
