You are at best 40% against a 5bet shove, or flipping, or royally behind. I think 5.2k have a better use than that. He did that INTO TWO PEOPLE.

I found you from your awesome short videos, really enjoying your longer videos too and how you break them down and all your thinking behind them, super tough in the moment, plus the added pressure of wanting to be invited back, that probably adds a good few percent to you playing a hand againts not. Like how you hide the hands of the opposition, that's a nice touch to talk us through what you are thinking in the moment.

Hey Wolfgang, love your videos - one thing that I’d love to see as a viewer is if you would be able to cover the opponents’ cards with a more opaque overlay. When the blur is used, we can still see the colors of the cards so it takes some of the suspense out of hands when flush draws are threats.

I think the hand with A8 was played extremely well. Its one of those spots where a good percentage of the time he has air, but he can also have a overpair that pot controlled on the turn. I think the four liner to the straight is what is the deciding factor on a call here. Cus i believe overpairs check back river with a high frequency on that board. Well played brother

so couple things here.... you explained VPIP after opening 3x with 24hh and 10x with JJ you want to be avoiding calling off a 5bet jam without a pair or at least having suited J10, 89, 910 because your calling to chop against AK we all play poker differently but I think if you start to think about spots like they are, spots, then you will find much more success on the felt good video as always. you don't ever disappoint.

If you look at about 3:55 you can see under his hand it says “$25 to call”. I initially thought the 10x open didn’t make any sense, but once you see there’s a $25 straddle on it makes much more sense since it’s only a 4x open

I don’t really like the bluff from Geico with the 72, sure it’s ballsy but not well thought out. The biggest issue is he’s repping such a narrow range (JJ or 54) when he shouldn’t expect you to fold any reasonable value for such a small price. JJ should be trying to pile in on the turn, so that leaves only 54. There’s a reason those spots are underbluffed, because the bluffs have little chance of succeeding. If you had like 10k behind I would like it better cause you said you only called cause of pot odds

I dont know if the person to Wolfgang's right is still in the hand or not but, at the 0:33 mark, you can clearly see Wolfgang purpsely slide his cards over to his right and out in front of his chip stack to look at them which is obviously allowing the player to his right to look at them as well. It's blatantly obvious. Why the hell would you do this in a poker game UNLESS the player to his right was out of the hand? Even if the player to has right is out of the hand, it's not a good look for Wolfgang to do that regardless. It makes it look like he's colluding with the other player to let him see what he's playing for future hands as well. Not a good idea. Just saying.

On the hand at about the 3:20 mark where you had pocket tens and the board came with Deuce of diamonds six of clubs and nine of diamonds, why the hell did you check to let anything get there at all? This play was just completely stupid. You had the over pair and at the very least, you should have bet the pot to try to get him out. This is why you don't let people stay in the hands because then they can do the stuff that they did to you on the turn and then you end up folding and losing money. Come on. That was an easy bet

I’m never folding the AA in that spot on that board texture .. not even for another 10k more, not when you check the turn and overbet the river .. an overpair will continue barreling on the turn.. so by checking the turn you’ve under repped the strength of your hand. The over bet on the river is a great bet .. you shouldn’t really have the hand that you have the way it’s played so that’s why he jams.. you earned that extra money !! But if your going to be tricky and under rep your hand then u have to be making that call 100% on the river no matter the size.. but fair play that’s a great shove as he should never have a bluff in that spot for that price !! That’s Next level

On the hand at 5:00 where you had red pocket Jacks and the board came with a 9 of hearts, a 2 of spades, and a 4 of hearts on the flop, why the hell did you just check and let the other two players bet or check as well? I don't know what coach you have that is recommending that you just check when you're in between players but when you've got the cards you have in that situation, you need to bet something. You shouldn't always try to trap or limp along because that's how you screw yourself.i don't agree with your coach at all on this and honestly, with as much poker as you have played and at least the reasonably higher stakes that you have played in, you should know better yourself than to follow that advice at all. Pretty ridiculous. Or, at the very least, when they put in the bet of around $300 or $350 which was roughly the pot at that time, you need to be raising probably 2 1/2x to 3x or maybe even 4x to see where they're at and try and get them off their hands. This is again another one of those situations where you are just letting them get in there and end up beating you on the turn or the river. And of course, as you see, the turn comes with a 5 of clubs so they have an easy straight draw or some other stupid bull crap with possibilities of two pair, a weird set, or who knows what at that point that screws you. Just too many things that you're doing that seems wrong to let people into these hands which is pretty ridiculous considering the stakes of poker that you are usually involved in. I don't know what the hell you're doing in these hands but it doesn't make any sense.
@mitsevox
@mitsevox 8 ай бұрын
dude you're wound tighter than an eight day clock. 1. you're not a poker professional so no one is going to listen to your advice, especially wolfgang and 2. every poker pro ever knows you don't raise to "see where you're at" or "see where they're at". your advice will just lead to only getting called by better hands and losing value against worse hands. sometimes people catch up with their bad hands and that's okay, it's how poker works sometimes.
@eldridge201
@eldridge201 8 ай бұрын
@@mitsevox @mitsevox first of all, you don't need to be a poker professional to know that this play was horrible or at the very least maybe not a horrible one but not a good one. I don't care who it is that's holding these cards whether they are pro or not, the play was horrible and I stand by that. As far as me recommending to raise to "see where you are at" or "see where they are at", you can call it whatever the hell you want but people make bets or raises or check or do all kinds of different things when playing poker to make different moves and try to figure out what their opponent has to determine if they have a better hand than the opponent or not. Or, they bet and sometimes they bet high because they know they have the winning hand and don't want somebody to catch some bullshit like you're referring to. It doesn't necessarily have to be titled exactly what I said it was but the reasons are still the same. You're trying to figure out where you are at in the hand as well as what your opponent may have so you can determine what you need to do at that point. In some cases, you do need to raise because you have a better hand and you need to try to get them off of their hands so that they don't draw out on you. Or, if they are going to try to draw out on you, you're going to make them pay for it. I know this is not something that's completely stupid to say because it's actually something that happens all the time and is very common while playIng the game. And actually your response shows that you really don't know what the hell you're talking about because if you did, you would understand that but since you're trying to argue against it, that obviously shows that you don't know Jack crap when it comes to the game. Again, if you did, you wouldn't be trying to argue against what I typed. With regard to what I was typing, in essence, the person more than likely had the winning hand at the time. So, they should have bet appropriately to try to take the hand down and be done with it and not let some bullshit get there like they did. I said what I said for the exact reason that happened in this hand. He should have bet more to try to take down the pot and move to the next hand and not let bulshit get there. But, what happened? Well, bullshit happened and got there, that's what happened. And for this reason, this is why he should have bet more and he didn't and that's why I think he played it incorrectly. As far as playing poker, I've never claimed to be a professional but I've been playing it for roughly I think going on about 14 to 15 years now. More over the last 11 or 12 years. I'm not anything remarkably great and don't even claim to be a semi-pro but I know how you need to play cards in certain situations. You can say whatever you want but I don't care. I feel like they played their cards wrong as I pointed out with my comments. As you even pointed out, sometimes people just get lucky hits or sometimes people catch unlucky breaks. That is the way poker goes and you would know that if you're commenting the way that you are (which you did). So, I'm not completely off my rocker here and you are actually kind of supporting my statements even though you might not even realize it with what you said in your own response. Obviously, there's a chance that somebody else might have a better over pair or other cards but there are all kinds of different things that can happen throughout the card game and sometimes people don't always raise with good cards and they try to trap so you never know what's going to happen from one hand to the next. People play differently depending on where they're at as far as what position they're at and other things. There's obviously a lot that goes into it. And then of course, it depends on how they think the player is playing that night or how they feel like playing themselves. So many different things. And again, the person could get an unlucky break and get a bad beat. That obviously happens in a lot of card games when it comes to hold em'. That's why they are called bad beats. Another thing, when you say that "sometimes people catch up with their bad hands" and "that's okay", that again indicates that you really don't know what the hell you're talking about. It's not "okay" that people catch up to their bad hands. I'm not saying that these situations don't happen because they obviously do. I'm just saying, for you to claim that it is "okay" that this happens is in a way saying that this is normal or commonplace so it's something that you should just accept.. There are reasons that these things happen and a lot of times it is because people play their cards like in this video and I pointed out that this was a bad way to play because they let them stay in this hand when they shouldn't have allowed them to. Why do that? It doesn't make any sense. This is why you want to raise the bet to try to get people off of those hands so they don't "catch up" with their "bad hands". You don't allow people to "catch up" with their bad hands. You just don't. That's just stupid. And I pointed it out with my comments. You can obviously disagree and you do disagree so it is what it is. I'm personally going to try to get people off of their "bad hands" so if they want to stay in the hands I'm going to make them pay for it. If you think that letting people limp in and just check around to let people catch up with their bad hands is okay, then keep going and playing that way and see how much you win or lose. I'm willing to bet you're not going to be on the winning end of your bankroll. And that would be especially true in today's game where people are playing a lot more hands thwt are just junk as people would refer to them instead of premium hands as I think more and more people are playing a lot more loose and just trying to see whatever they can with their crap hands. You can get caught with somebody else having a worse hand initially so you need to bet to try to get them off that hand.
