I thoroughly enjoyed the fishing game in Stardew Valley back when I played it (couldn't understand all the complaints, I thought it was fun) - seeing you racing this skill to 10, which took me literally the better of the 2 (ingame) years I played, is truely astonishing :D Congratulations on that achievement and also on the whole planning it out, that must have taken quite some time ^^

This is very cool, my most proud fishing moment was catching The Legend year 1, so I had to get to level 9-10 fishing in the first season, which albeit is a lot less impressive than this, but I only hand-fished that whole time, and had no strategy other than pray. Lol. It was actually really down to the wire because I only started my personal challenge a little more or less than half way through spring 1. Lord I spent so long fishing

Did several attempts at minmaxing all of which died in early/mid-summer because of poor planning/resource management or just getting very bored. All attempts I used the strategy of non-stop fishing until lvl10 in early spring to sell all the fish for the bus to the dessert. Fucking hell I spent a lot of time fishing in this game lol

I have always thought about this, and in theory you should be able to get level 10 fishing in multiplayer in 1 day without ever casting your line with crab pots and fish ponds. The only problem would be collecting them all since time is always moving in multiplayer, but you could set all this up with another person sleep to save. Load up the save file in single player and harvest everything you need for the xp in 1 day.

Ik with couch co-op multiplayer if everyone does something that would pause the game in single player at the same time that it’ll pause in multiplayer as well. Not sure if it works with other multiplayer forms though.

I think using a trap bobber for the ledgend would have been worth it. The xp from the irdium quality was probably not worth needing to take multiple shots at the fish. Eating the iridium fish is a better flex though....

The Caldera does have good bite rates for Lava Eels. No bubbles thought. Time progressed normally up there. It may be possible to do it up there too.

Coming back to this, I wonder how many skills you could get to level 10 in one day in one playthrough. Like, you can use a full day to get any single skill from 0 to 10. But otherwise, you can't get any skill xp for skills below level 10. i.e. spend spring preparing to max farming, do that in a day, but have all other skills at 0. Then prepare foraging and then do that in a day, then so on. Would that introduce enough limitations to make some skills impossible?

Method 12. Crab pots give 5 fishing exp( I think) regaurdless of if you actually caught a fish or garbage (I beleive to be the case). Craft 3000 of them, place them all over time but dont collect contents yet, collect them all one day. Boom. I'm sure theres plenty of space across all the oceans and rivers and game and definatley enought time to collect all 3000 in one day :). Also if you really wanted you can add crabpots to the method you did so you dont fully rely on fish afterwards
