Can I paint Nomads using Vallejo Nomads paint set ?

Great video! I'm waiting for my Crimson Stone bundle to arrive, this will help. The reason the red looks brighter in the guide is probably because it will look darker over a black primer. Many people think the color of primer doesn't matter but it does affect the brightness of every coat that goes over it. For a bright effect, it might be easier to pint the black straps etc. over the bright red, than vice versa.

Yes, the Spanish text says "despues añadimos un poco gris", so they mean to add a bit of grey. But it can still be interpreted as adding grey to the miniature.

I have been waiting for someone to make a video like this for a while. Thank you for giving a preview of using the vallejo sets. How long did it take you to paint the miniature in total? I have all of the vallejo sets and want to use the studio scheme for all of the two player starter boxes but worry that it will take too long. Thanks again!

Thanks Eammon, with recording it took me around 5-6 hours. I think without recording it can be much faster. But still probably 2-3 hours.

The first thing I notice here is that compared to their images, the hull red is basically brown, but it still looks red in their pictures. the whole color scheme really threw me off, as well I hate that they never show the back of the model in the guide. I have no idea what was going on with her backpack.

Sunny skin tone and hull red sort of make a beige red, doesn't it? Good job over all.

Like you said right off the bat, you had one or two thin coats. What did you do to treat the paint to be able to do that?

I always use wet palette when i paint, and i add a drop of water to paint so it have good flow.

and i forgot to mention, shake paints well before using for at least 30 seconds so they get mixed well. Sometimes they want to separate.

My biggest hang up is the paint is always way too thick or too thin. It's always streaky or clumpy.

You need to find balance, add very little water, if it is too watery you will need to do more coats to have good coverage. And it depends from brand to brand, for Vallejo most of their paints need only 1 drop of water when i put them on wet palette.

@@justinpfeil4698 i take one drop of paint from Vallejo bottle, than i take my brush and dip it in water but not to much to be soaked and then mix paint with wet brush on wet palette. Then i clean brush and start using that paint. hope i didn't confused you :)
