My 11 year old 9 lb dog just has surgery and I wish I ran across your videos before his surgery. The vet really didn't explain that much. I brought him home Friday after having surgery Thurs, so there's no calling the vet over the weekend to ask questions. Thank you for making these.

Great advice! My dog had TPLO surgery nine months ago and I'm still nervous about her potentially injuring the other CCL or re-injuring her knee she had surgery on.

Obsessed With Dogs I totally understand. TPLO is a strong repair so once the surgery is done she should be just fine. The meniscus can be a post-op issue, arthritis can play into her becoming sore after too much activity and/or being sedentary, and then muscle or tendon flare ups can happen. One big way to avoid this is to not play fetch. She can run, but don’t let it be fast starts, stops and darting left to right. Best wishes to you both, and thanks for commenting.
