It's like the old funny story: old woman comes to the repair service showing them a macintosh with a shotgun hole in the display. "Can you fix this" - she asks. "Are you in your mind? It's completely dead" - they said. She blamed them for being unprofessional and went to competitors service. After few weeks she came back and showed fully functioning macintosh triumphantly. Guys from the service were defeated but also curious. They went to competitors, bought a pack of beer and asked them how did they do that. They said that the only thing not affected bu the shot was HDD, so they bought a new macintosh, swapped the hard drive and charged this old lady with +10% price of the new mac.

This video was a shame for me to watch. You are misleading Apple, got parts for free and not repair anything, but only replace a screen. Can not believe you uploaded this...
@phimtown4 жыл бұрын
Whats wrong with it? Apple is a scam by itself, so shut the hell up. They build their products in a really inefficient way to push up the repair costs and make them wear or break faster.
@og-01104 жыл бұрын

Get a 2014 Macbook Air for school. Bargain Laptops if you need a Macbook, although, like King Dee said, a cheap chrome book will do you fine.

Nicholas Ramirez Whyso? 2015 to 2017 use the exact same chipset together. Even watch Luke Miani’s video. He says these Macbook Airs are great especially for school. I recommended that year instead of the rest since I think it’s the sweet spot.

BRO I AM A VICTIM, AND SUFFERED BROKEN DISPLAY JUST AFTER 4 MONTHS FROM THE PURCHASE. All this time , I was thinking why apple cannot be held responsible for this design demerits. Now I hope you understand that they made the new slim design more vulnerable to high physical damage probability. Recently I noticed this when I kept my 2018 mid Aug model Mac book Pro near a pedestal fan , and to my wonder , my lap screen was wobbling in the wind. This made me think how light the display chassis is and compelled me to question the durability of the product , which apple is well known for. They should admit the design imperfection on durability , and should provide replacement for them. #appleindia #apple

I bought a High spec. well-used, out of warranty, Touch Bar 2016 MBP 15” with sticking keys from ebay. My Apple service centre quickly replaced the entire top plate and battery for free, under the keyboard recall. Credit where credit is due,.. although payback for making the keyboard unrepairable, and being hit with a class-action lawsuit you have to think

If Apple took as much time, resources, and devotion that they put into making their laptops impossible to repair, and put that devotion towards making a laptop that actually functions properly, they’d be unstoppable!

Costs in real life, for nonsponsored people/KZbinrs, who don't get stuff for free: 1. worst case scenario: 120USD(old ipone6+20USD) + 700USD(repair) + 500USD(screen) +90USD(tools) = 1400 USD 2. best case scenario: 120USD(old ipone6+20USD) + 170USD + 250USD(fix keyboard problem)+ 500USD(screen)+90USD = 1130USD. And all this is NOT counting manual labour...

20$ + refurbished iPhone 6s which is about 175$ + 600$ screen + 700$ Apple repairs (Literally got lucky with the free repair.) So if any of you would do this, it'll approximately cost you around 1495$ or 1500$. Is it really worth it?
@rosaria83843 жыл бұрын
Imagine if we have a Louis Rossmann crossover with a MacBook Pro repair like this one.
Well you got ridiculously lucky with this one, since 1 - it was not 20 dollars, and 2 - it was complete garbage and you only "got it working" because basically its not even the same laptop, Apple just gave you a new one, which is unheard of. Maybe they knew you are a KZbinr XD
