As a viewer, I have to applaud this video. It's so well made, edited, and just all around one of my favorite videos. Now having said that, as a fellow ark player I'm appalled 🤣. I beat Beta Rockwell last night. You need two shotguns with at least 250% damage so when one magazine runs out you can switch to the second one and bring at least 500 shotgun shells as well as some better armour. I'd also recommend having a tamed reaper king follow you and have it on attack your target so it helps destroy the tentacles

You could learn from the hiding fish near batman and level up your speed to be faster than Rockwell's balls, go solo on land and use the mushroom broth to ensure you won't aggro any spawns.

Cactus broth hides you from creatures not mushroom. So it wouldn't matter if I had enough movement speed to hide fish or not near batman

For this video I set the day counter and day cycle back to the time it was when I logged off. On the Savage Acro video I just recorded 1 hour days and kept track of how many hours I was at.

one thing i love about aberration. you will get settled, then lose everything. repeat until you get a high level spino or a pack of high level ravagers. lol i just started a new playthrough of ab and i am with one ravager (tamed at 30) and 2 raptors (one tamed at 30 and 1 at 112 i think) luckily i havent wiped yet but i know its coming. i had a ruin in wih a pack of ravagers before those tames. they camped my base and spawn killed me multiple times lol

I'm ten minutes in, and I'll say the same thing I did on Rampy's 100 day challenge on aberration - This map does not look fun. It's literally as if the developers got together in a room and said "How can we make this game *less* fun?"

Believe it or not, I actually think Aberration is an incredibly fun map. I would prefer it to be less punishing, but I certainly got better at the game by playing Aberration instead of just flying everywhere as soon as I could tame a pteranadon as with most maps. The tools are there, but everything about Aberration is about entrenching yourself. You're at war with the map and you have to act like it, fortify positions, build bridges, build ramps, make sure you're equipped with the right tools for the job(Climbing Picks, gliding suit, ziplines and either ravagers or the zip line motor)... It's a very different experience from other maps where building is about carving out your own little slice of the map, here it's about taming nature itself to secure your freedom to explore. Once you finally mount your first rock drake you really feel like you've earned the right to be at the top of the food chain, since shortcuts are few and far between here. That said I totally get looking at this map and understanding the mentality it takes to tackle it and being like "Screw that, give me my and leave me in peace on a map that isn't an abysmal hellhole". It's a shame the map itself is so brutal, because the visual design and the progression through it is really cool IMO. I got stuck there for a WEEK mucking about with transfers and despite that I loved my experience with it lol
