DAY 1 (Denial) : China's 6th Gen is Fake Day 5 (Acceptance) : Can we bridge the defense gap with China?? 😅😅

As a white westerner, I just want to advise the Indians should just spend the money on improving its citizens' lives, clean up the environment, improve education and healthcare, eliminate caste system completely, eliminate sexual crimes such as gang-rapes, eliminate corruptions, educate your people to have a civic sense, if India can do all that within 20 - 30 years, it will be a great achievement and gains respect from all around the world rather than engaging in a military confrontation with China. China is in a different league entirely, it's a near peer to the U.S., (if China isn't that good, the U.S. wouldn't have placed so many sanctions and tariffs on China to stop its rise) there's no way India can defeat China in the next 40 to 50 years at least. So, my Indian friends, do something constructive.

"India has an asymmetric advantage in air power over China" and similar believes among Indians are misleading India to failure in judging China.
@andrewsuryali854023 күн бұрын
No, this is not unfounded belief but the actual reality right now. The problem is that the context is normally forgotten when this is mentioned. The asymmetry comes from the fact that 17 Indian squadrons are within striking distance of Tibet vs. only 5 air brigades on the Chinese side able to reach India. Technologically and numerically the IAF is far inferior to PLAAF, but operationally they currently have overwhelming regional advantage. Currently the PLAAF doesn't seem to worry enough about India to try to address the imbalance, but as more YY-20Us and J-20As enter the force, the imbalance will become smaller. J-20As with their WS-15 engines and fuel topped up in the air can supercruise to India from Yunnan, Sichuan, and even Xinjiang.

But we notice that they are flying it pretty well. We recently had - I wouldn’t call it an engagement - where we got relatively close to the J-20s along with our F-35s in the East China Sea, and we’re relatively impressed with the command and control associated with the J-20.” Wilsbach made the remarks during a discussion posted on the KZbin channel of the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies

Good India use China Air power as a yardstick. 1) Manufacturing eco system. 2) Hightech material development. 3) Infrastructure development. 4) Political will, different ruling government have different priorities. 5) Corruption and caste system still have deep rooted problem. 6) Racial and religions disharmony. 7) Education, and basics necessities needed to facilitate human development. Rich and poor disparity. 8) News media and social media in India has been overly brainwashing it's people to focus too much on dispute with Pakistan and China. Of course USA and Canada are opportunist using India as proxy against China, because India is a willing puppies of the Imperial Masters. India should learn from Russia China border settlement. And both are now working very closely to fight or counter Western hegemonic power and coercion. India half hearted participation in BRICS tells the whole story of your development and progress. Both Russia and China has been biting their teeth and buy time to develop to their strength and power. Look at Russia hypertension missiles and its own economy resilience against the Western countries. Look at how China has developed its country internally in all aspects of human development, education, poverty elimination and manufacturing and hightech development. India has so much talent and smart people but they chose to leave and work for other countries. Why India can't retain them. Ask these questions again and again.?

Bring in private players like Tata, Mahindra etc. along with government organizations like ISRO, HAL and increase long term budget allocation to Private R&D. Hire defense personnel (from indian and overseas origins) researchers from other countries. Focus on strengthening A2/AD strategy in the meantime. China has beaten us in A2/AD also. We should not just keep saying "we are the best" and ignore / delay the important actions to be taken.
@Huaxiaviewpoint22 күн бұрын
India is learning from the West by allowing private enterprises to engage in military equipment research and development, which, in the eyes of the Chinese, resembles "Dongshi imitating Xishi but ending up looking ugly" (a Chinese idiom meaning to imitate someone but with poor results). Private enterprises in India do not have any technological accumulation, let alone the possibility of investing large amounts of money in the research and development of new technologies. Obviously, it is completely wrong for Indians to follow the American approach.
