Been watching a lot of detailing videos as I want to get into detailing my own car (or at least having someone do it) and yours are by far the best in my opinion. They’re oddly satisfying and the quality of work being done is A1! Every vehicle looks brand new afterwards. Keep it up man!

Another great video James @stauffergarage, as always! General question for you… when you clean out cars, what do you do with their stuff from like the console, glovebox, etc. Do you keep it out and give them bags of stuff and say, here you go, decide what junk you want to put back in your nice clean vehicle?! Or do you actually put it back in for them? I’ve done some where I’ve cleaned the boxes and put like 303 Protectant on, and then just give them zip locks with their stuff in (most of which I would consider junk if it were mine). Just don’t know how people take this. No one has ever said anything, but they probably don’t want to seem to unappreciative either. Just don’t know what the “norm” is or should be!

For a new detailer what is the best way to get the any fabic set dry in a timely manner.
@JohnThompson-ud7et2 жыл бұрын
I’d be curious to know what the average “dry time” would be that you tell people when you do their seats. Obviously leather is different than cloth, and the outside temperatures/sun have a big impact too! But a lot of times, depending on when you start the detailing, can run into the evenings then you need to put the car in the garage with cracked windows, but it still doesn’t totally dry by morning. (And yes, also, it matters how much solution and water you use compared to what you can get extracted out in a timely basis!). :)

And does the amount of time vary from a mobile job compared to one at the shop/house? Obviously size of vehicles matter, amount of dirt, etc. But standard wash/wax vs. coatings should be somewhat standard amount of times. Like x minutes tires, x minutes engine, x minutes wash exterior, x minutes interior, etc.

@+①⑦②⑦③⑤⓪②④④②WhatsApp Not sure how to chat; I mention the bolts because of my experience with my BMW. I was going to remove the seats to clean. Checked the process in a BMW manual. Happy 4th of July all. I am looking for any advice or ideas on how to deep clean the cushion part of a back seat. I have cloth seats and got some diesel fuel cleaner spilled on the seat. One of my kids left it tipped over and I didnt find it for a few days. So the fuel cleaner fully soaked in to the cushion. It is a bench seat style. I have used a carpet extractor and got the visible signs out of the cloth, but I have not been able to find a way to “flush” the cushion out.
@JohnThompson-ud7et2 жыл бұрын
Best bet would probably to pull out the seat, and use plenty of cleaner and power washer to over saturate it to force the cleaner through. Of course, you’ll want to make sure to extract as much of the water out afterwards that you can, and keep the seat outside in the sun to fully dry. (You don’t want to put it back in car wet and chance mold!)
