I've had a high-mounted (replaces the top cubby and vents) android head unit sitting on my shelf for nearly 3 years because it was just too hard to figure this factoty setup out. This video just got me up and running. So pleased with the result - Thanks Heaps! Next step will be to get the steering controls going as well. Pretty sure the method you showed is exactly what it needs.

Is the speaker wires coming from the back of the radio to the factory plug behind the radio used at all. Or is it purely the din is use as the signal to input to the sub to play out the speakers.

Just the din plug is carrying the signal, so the speaker wires aren't used.

Could you please send me the sun wiring instructions I have a 2005 Subaru Liberty GT no steering wheel controls. I have tried the plug and play plugs everything works except no sound obviously no amp or subwoofer. Am installing a pioneer head unit would be very much appreciated.

In the video you only have 5 RCA plugs and 6 in the link color codes there are 13 wires named but 14 in amp plug as there is 2 red wires one thicker than the other could you please confirm for me thanks.

It was just purchased online, not sure what site it was purchased from unfortunately. The unit was a Kenwood Dmx-8520 🙂

You disappeared for 9 months... possible to see update/final result of Landcruiser interior upgrade (sound deadening, fridge, console, etc)?

At this stage probably not as I am no longer working for Phatt Audio. There will be one update coming soon on a previous car but possibly some new cruiser builds to come 😊 I do have some photos of the cruiser builds finished up though 🙂

how can you fix the issue of the twin guide lines showing up when you're in reverse?

You can either turn guide lines off in the headunit, or the camera itself has a wire loop near the camera itself that needs to be cut to diable the cameras built in lines.

Yes it was, the only bonus of the factory Mcintosh system is that split climate/ headunit 😆
