So what I do is pop some beans off and let the stems realllly callous over, then prop them in water. I have the best results with only like a cm or less of stem in the water, and I let the rest space in the container act as a semi humidity dome. You can also plop some of the beans back into the pot too and they'll do their thang. 💚💚💚 Burros tail are an enigma to me, they are so finicky yet not at the same time. You never know what you're gonna get with this plant lol

So sorry your Mom lost her dog, it is so hard! We lost one a few months ago too. My hubby belonged to her, she chose him after she lost my uncle. She went every where with him, even on the tractors. He really had a rough time as well as our other dog and myself. Give her our love!

After you water it sprinkle some of those beans on top and they will probably route even on top. And let them harden off and stick them down in soil leave them a couple days and then stick them in soil

I was able to restart a little burrows tail by just sticking the stem in soil. You can also sprinkle the beans on the bare spots on top & they should root & grow with a light source above it. 💚💚

So sorry for the loss of your parent's fur baby. Praying for Sue. You can add the beans to the top of the soil of your burro's tail and they may reroot and fill in the top. I've put my beans in a tray laying on top of soil inside a ziplock bag inside my rudsta and they are growing. As I see them grow, I mist them from time to time. I have a burro's tale and other trailing succulents. I love them but they are a pain.

Hi Sarah wow the struggle was real with this repotting but you did a great job with it. I just chuck the beans back in the pot and they root and grow but it is very slow, saying that though my burros tail is probably the size of the smallest stem that broke of yours lol. So sorry to hear of your mums dog Bella, the final goodbye is the worst part of sharing our lives with furry friends but the happiness they bring us makes it a bit more bearable 🌿💚🐾💚🌿

I have one donkey tail. It did great for a few years. 1/3 of the beans fell off. I over watered it. Assuming root rot.

i've put the beans on a plate with soil and i sprayed them when it's dry, it took a long time but it worked

I thought you burros tail looked beautiful and I’m glad you left it in that white pot. You’re doing great with it! Try to give it more overhead light, if you can, but it’s doing so great and that’s a hard one to keep happy. I gave mine away but I kept some cuttings which I rooted in soil.

Hey love, Happy New year wishes to you. I'm so sorry for the loss of ya'll fur family member. Prayers for ya'll as you go thru the grieving, healing process. I was given a dead looking 2 strand Burros tail. I cut the branches, calloused ( 1 night as they were already dried, and shriveled beans.) Dipped in RH, put in perlite with a bit of h2o and now have a 2 branch plant thats thriving, throwing off new arms!!! I give it lots of sunlight( now under growlite as winter) I let that perlite totally dry out, then use spray bottle water & diluted orchid fertilizer. Good luck..I think it'll be fine, then take off in summer with the refresh u gave it honestly. I thought yours looked pretty damn good! Lol I've had no luck getting the lil beans that fall off to prop though. Only had it since about Aug 2022 tho.
