The Ultra Magnus thing. As a Transformers fan, that was amazing. Shame he never actually got a chance to shine, he is, in cannon, only rivaled in strength by Optimus him self.

The 4 could probably take a brass breech, and could be an actually worthy sidearm. I’d guess it would hit 140-160 FPS or even more with more modification.

Thoughts, well put together, unbiased review, interesting results. I have the 4 and I like it, bought the 2, it went back, was very loud , and underwhelming. I think making a friction fit, internal barrel magazine (like the TKO) would be cool, make it so not much extra is sticking out the front. Bangarang

I definitely am anxious to see the recent Dart Zone releases in an episode and I am sure I am not alone on this either. Pretty easy to find at Wal Mart, at least for me anyhow. No rush, but I requested a while back to see if the Commlink II can take a K26 and I was wondering when it will be featured in an episode. Again, no rush, but I am still curious to see if it can take one since I am thinking about upgrading mine.

I have an Ultra 5 in pieces I don't really want to bother putting back together; trying to integrate a 10 round mag and mod to fire elite. That spring looked really good for some reason and now I know it's power. Thank you, sir. I shall see to it that it gets a new life in a better home.

Captian Wonderful episode. The FPS results along with the range testing is awesome to see. It is interesting how the stock spring is heavier than K-26. I would like to see the 5's spring in the 4 like you I think it would be interesting to see what happens. Thanks for doing all your do for the hobby. Bangarang

I absolutely love my ultra 5...it got me back into flinging foam and all the awesome mod thingy stuff you and all your badass breathern have turned me onto... it's crazy how inaccurate everyone says ultra is because I'm a dead shot with it way over 50 feet...the screamers seem to work bestest for meeeee

It amuses me that the 'upgraded' Ultra 5 got the captain a bit kerfluffled 😁. If you could get a rebarrel on it for regular half darts, it looks like there could be enough room to hollow out it's internal magwell for a SPAMF type kit, but that may be wishful thinking on my part.

Remember when you tried it with the Atlas? It's stock spring was almost identical to K26, and the K26 didn't change the performance at all. Maybe just for the fun of it, put the 4's spring in the Atlas to see what the Atlas does with increased fps? Since putting in K26 didn't do anything, now that you know that the 4 has a spring that's heavier than K26, you can finally give the Atlas it's long overdue performance increase!

Actually the Atlas does like k26 but you have to use 23 or 24 coils. He shorted it on that vid...even my 23 coil spring is still easy to prime. I read in the comments that xavier felt like he could've gone 25 coils. Way more consistent. The Atlas, my favorite and most impressive nerf gun. In the airgun world we call it droop not spread...but if you power it up and vary the ammo light heavy light heavy - then you'll have spread. I use headshot followed by little valentine.

I really wish they'd make Elite sonics. I recently got 175 original sonic darts as a bonus on another purchase and I'm thrilled because I still have plenty of stuff they can go into, including a Quick 16 and Speedload 6. But I do need to figure out a good power upgrade for them. Maybe one day just bite the bullet on getting custom springs made for some older blasters.

I cut the handguard off of my ultra 5 and sanded the sharp edges on the grip and it’s way better to hold and fire now👍

Could be a k31 nestled inside a 788 that truly upgrades the ultra 5. Looks like i'm getting 788 and k31 from yo' buddy Luke. Hmm just looking at pics...K14 looks like stock helios/artemis springs. I'm gonna skip k14...I am confident that some 788 and/or k31 will work the best...if not I have tons of that k14 around to try if that is indeed what it is.

They made .50 whistlers. But the heads were larger so they will not fit in the magazines. I would love to see someone develop a mag compatible whistler!

The 5 would be very difficult. Elite darts are longer than Ultra so you would have to extend the entire mag area.
