Thanks for including these blasters in this series. I've been using the Zenith and Interceptor (the brother to the Thermal Hunter, same blaster but different accessories and blue color rather than red) for some time and absolutely love both. Just for anyone's interest, the Thermal Hunter or Interceptor will readily take any aftermarket Retaliator spring with zero issues. I put a Worker 7 kg Retaliator spring into mine, removed the air restrictor, and got amazing results. I designed a stock adapter for the Thermal Hunter. Printed a few designs and had one that snapped on. Right now making one that screws together, because the snapping one kept breaking. Also working on infinitely expandable mag system. Like where you can make the mag as long as you want.

i case you not already noticed yourself: the thermal hunter can't take nerf magazines by default. the rim (i think that is the correct term) on the nerf mags collide with the magwell of the thermal hunter. but that can be fixed with dremeling the magwell a bit wider.

Captain Xavier I paused the video and pondered the internals of the Thermal Hunter a bit, and came up with a possible easy solution to the weird priming linkage issue. What if you were to replace the plastic linkage with the heavy wire one from something like a Deploy or Raider? I'm not certain that it would be long enough, but if it is you could offset the longevity that the blaster otherwise tends to lose because of that cheap plastic linkage. It might make the actual priming easier, too, with the sturdier linkage.

+Nathan Talisien despite the plastic priming bar I had to problem priming it at all. I was surprised. Whether it will last is another matter. If it breakd I will fabricate o e out of metal flat stock.

Heads up if you want to make it able to take nerf mags you can file the inside of the magwell where it clips the mag it can take a narf mag

Buzz Bee made some changes in the Thermal Hunter blaster design to allow them to be compatible with Nerf mags/clips. I am able to use my new Thermal Hunter with Worker and Nfstrike mags/clips without modification.

What the hell? The Thermal Hunter is a Champion/Reaper re-shell. The plunger tube even has the tab that connects to the priming bar in those blasters. Does it even do anything in this blaster?

Plus, pretty sure because it shoots 3 darts at once like the sledgefire, we can assume it probably has the same spring load. The sledgefire has a spring comparable to k26, so all around doing the judge would be completely idiotic and useless. Sorry to poop on the party a little lol

you totally need to hack the handle off of that pistol and under mount it on your primary; the ergonomics seem perfect... maybe eve load the cylinders with 2 half darts each for a shotgun (or 3 darts per barrel??)

It is obviously shorter. K26 comes in 11in coils.

Elliott Larsen If you're not hooked on the aesthetics and just need a clip fed semi-auto blaster at a decent price, the Rapid Red from Nerf's 'Rebelle' line is functionally almost identical (the jam door is notably inferior in design and the battery compartment is far enough forward to make it muzzle-heavy) and goes for $12-15 US dollars on Amazon, brand new. They are just as easy to mod internally as the Stryfe, and much easier to paint (the shell separates into not only two sides, but also upper and lower halves.) Many internal Stryfe after-market parts work on them, too.

Hey so i have a thermal hunter that i want to make take stefans and my idea was to put something at the beginning of the barrel to stop the dark and brass at the end to hold the dart in and get a good seal but i cant think of what id put in the back to stop the half dart have any advice?

+Scarlet Surge yes. Take a small piece of your brass tube (1/4 in long) and bend one side in. Slide this into the back of your brass barrel and glue in place.
