Just wanted to point out some incorrect information given by the podcast hosts. At the time of J.D. Vance's comment on Tucker (July 2021), Secretary Buttigieg had not adopted children (August 2021), so stating that Buttigieg had adopted children in the context of J.D.'s Tucker comments is inaccurate. Most importantly, J.D. Vance hasn't advocated for more votes for parents. If you watch the context of the speech in question, he's making the point that it doesn't make sense to let children vote. He does a thought experiment that if you are going to let children vote, and they are not capable of making their own decisions, just let their parents have that vote. Mainstream Democrats, including VP Harris, have advocated for 16 year olds to have the vote. One can argue Vance's comment are misleading since mainstream Democrats have not advocated for young children to have the vote, just teenagers. He clearly mischaracterized his opponent's views, but politicians do that all the time. People can have all the views they want about his comments, whether they are morally correct, or politically astute, and biases about the election, but I would hope that journalists from Semafor would not be making factually inaccurate statements about a prominent news story that been around in the headlines for days.

The issue is that since then he has stated that people without kids are somehow less, and should pay more taxes than parents, suggested that they are emotionally less committed to public welfare, etc. He did this to himself.

@@carlkim2577 He didn't say that lol, and the issue wasn't whether he did it to himself. We all expect commenters on the internet to not have listened to the talk he gave, but instead only a 30 second sound bite, but you don't expect that from journalists who should be objective. Also, the issue isn't whether he did it to himself, it's not lying about the basic facts of what happened.

@@gatech5190 they never said she was not smart in this video, as you know, so that makes no sense as a comparison. In an alternative universe where these "journalists" who favor Harris were attacking her as not being smart, I am also sure you understand the difference between a subjective judgement/attack (like a crush) and an objective fact (someone's birthday).
