I cannot get over this VP process. Republicans keep bringing up DEI, all while Dems can’t pick the best person for the job, because they’re too diverse. Let’s be clear: polls said that Democrat voters favorite VP candidates were Gretchen Whitmer and Pete (22%). Whitmer is a popular governor of a swing state with no Palestine-baggage - and pretty much everyone can agree that Pete is probably the Democrats’ most effective communicator. But neither be seriously considered, because of sad and obvious reasons. All while Fox News goes on about how hard it is to be a straight white dude in politics.

I watched Pete on Fox News this Sunday, and he was outstanding. He masterfully controlled the narrative, consistently staying on topic and supporting his points with well-substantiated facts. Pete's eloquence as a speaker is impressive, and he adeptly maintained his composure under pressure. Despite the host's numerous interruptions, he navigated the conversation with ease. It was a remarkable and commendable display.

@@Armani-y9z I'd like to agree with you, and in a sense I do, but hate burns twice as bright. It burns out quickly, but there's no shortage of energy while the movement is alive. Positive energy in a sense needs to be earned, while hate is more like an instinct. One must be cultivate and nurtured, the other rears its head when things go sideways, and they always do. In essence, it's always easier to destroy than create, but products of creativity inspire and make life worth living. How do we get a smart guy like Ben Shapiro that he's an agent of destruction?

European here. Pete is my favorite US politician. In many ways, he's a level above. I look at US politics daily because it impacts also our lifes in Europe but, believe me, it's very painfull to watch. The level is SO low, it's unimaginable... I understand how painfull it should be for a brilliant person like Pete to compete in a classroom full of those MTG, Vance and Ted Cruz. I guess it takes him more courage than fighting in Afghanistan.

I've been a liberal since the time I understood the differences but I have to say I've never been a huge Joe Biden fan. I was a big supporter of Bernie Sanders in the primary before Covid hit, and I felt rather disenfranchised when Joe Biden was declared the official nominee. What Mr. Buttigieg just said about the de-facto most powerful human on the planet voluntarily setting aside that power really struck me. Watching the live stream of President Biden speaking on supreme court reform, I noticed I liked him so much more and didn't know the reason. This interview made me realize why. It takes an incredible human to do what Biden did.

When Pete Buttigieg was running for POTUS in 2020, I worked on several of his rallies in Charleston SC. I saw him on the stump and "backstage." He is very articulate, well-read, smart as a whip, and firmly in control of his emotions. I would vote for Pete Buttigieg for ANYTHING in a skinny second!

@walalopez6735 As Secretary, he was one of the principal movers of Biden's infrastructure policies, as those policies would enable the expansion of the American transportation network, which helped make America an energy independent nation. He is able to talk intelligently across the aisle, and because of that, there were numerous Republicans that engaged with President Biden's infrastructure plans. This also helps decrease the carbon footprint that we as a species leave behind us. We are able to negotiate across the board around the globe to reduce our reliance on the vagaries and dominions of other nations because of Secretary Buttigieg. You really should pay attention when the guy speaks,rather than relying on Jesse Waters to tell you what he said. Waters will lie to you every time, just as he did here.

I hope Biden doesn't feel too bad about the excitement behind Kamala. I'm far more proud of him and his term in office than I thought I'd be. I think he's the greatest president we've had while I've been alive. He had the opportunity to throw that all away, but he handed off the torch to the next generation, which was the capstone of his presidency. I live in a small rural place on the Texas southern boarder, and I absolutely support Pete Buttigieg! I hope he is being vetted for VP because he IS perfect for the job! Ive ben watching his speaking engagements as well as his work in this administration and as mayor...This guy is a true blue American dream.Hes got integrity, intelligence and a drive to help people and do the right thing. 🗳🇺🇲😍💙🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Pete mentions his family consistently. The only way to normalize the true concept of family is to own it and he does a beautiful job. I hope his career in federal service has a long, long, long tenure. You give your spouse so much respect and it always makes me smile. There may be some hope for our country after all.

@@LC-ms7gi That's the only thing downside to having him as the VP pick. The "woke" ticket label they can just fearmonger with. But imagine what the possible explosion in youth voting would be.... We saw more enthusiasm with Harris taking over the campaign. Might be worth it, but they really do need to get out and vote.
