Its not the lure but the fisherman my friend. You can catch anything on anything basically if you know a stretch of river/lake very well and how to trigger the bite.(Experience and knowledge) I fish for seatrout in the nordic rivers (: I know my stretch of river like my pocket and ive caught these fish on a bananapeel I shaped as a fish cuz I was all out of lures and it worked out because I know these fish and the river well. edit: Also when you start out fishing, find a stretch of coast/reef/river/lake that you know holds fish and are hard to catch, then it all comes down to trial and error! Learn the place your fishing, where are the big potholes that the fish likes to rest, what are they feeding on and then presentation. Theres no reason to jump from place to place cuz you think there is no fish. Each place you fish is unique and you might catch 1-2 fish at first but once you start to gain the experience and pay attention to your fishing! You will slowly start to understand whats going on under the surface and catch bucketloads while the 2 morons futher down the stream is just standing in awe ;) Sorry for my wall of text! Just my 2 cents

I love the fact that it's practical and not just a toy you can use on a line. Now I'm no fishing expert (or novice) but the term "crawler" near the first cast made me think of it being used to imitate a panicking frog that maybe fell out of a tree, might be most effective on shorelines or shore fishing. That's just a theory but overall, pleasantly surprised (and humored) that the Water God pokemon can lure river monsters 👍

Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.

This lure motion is a copy of the old Heddon Crazy Crawler thats been around for decades (a smaller lure for bass). It also shows that pike/muskie will hit anything that even remotely looks alive - thats been my experience also. When I used to fish small rivers it was almost hard to believe how easy it was to catch fish in that environment. Its also easy to clean out those types of environments if you don't preserve by catch and release.

I have a couple of questions... 1) Old fisherman's tip that I used to get from time to time, that I notice you don't do: When throwing a top water. The moment it hits the water, let it rest as you may have spooked a fish directly below and one has to give it time to get back and notice what spooked it...you start the retrieve immediately, was curious if there was a reason? 2) Other old fisherman's tip that I still get to this day: When retrieving a top-water - pause in the retrieval as it gives the fish the impression of a tired prey item (therefore easier to pick off) also notice you don't do that - was curious if there was a reason? Or are both just a matter of style and preference - no wrong answers - obviously you're catching fish, so...if it ain't broke...

It’s tough pausing the lure while I’m floating downstream, I get a few seconds at each piece of structure then reel and cast at the next one I’m about to float by. On the shallow clear rivers I fish if I’m casting up toward the bank I’ll just about always see some type of reaction if there’s a fish there, either the fish swim over and eye my lure or an extra splash a few feet away or a wake closing in on it, then I’ll pause and see if they’ll smash it. If I don’t see that I don’t spend much time on that cast if there’s no other structure they can pop out of. Covering water I’ll give it some pauses but not a whole lot until the water starts cooling off. The fish here are generally aggressive during the short feeding season when it’s warm out. Sometimes they seem to like some pauses thrown in but more often than not covering water to find the aggressive fish gets the best results for me.

Saw this video as a recommendation from another I was watching; seeing a pokemon fishing lure let me know I'm starting to find the right fishing community. Great content, you gained an instant subscriber gonna binge your channel here shortly! Tight Lines and nice catches!

I would be embarrassed to fish that thing regardless if it caught fish or not!

Like I said about your previous video, I think you could attach hooks to an oven mitt and limit out on whatever you are fishing for. Great content, love what you do. Keep them coming!

Watching you cast is satisfying af. So accurate and clean even with what I expect is a weighty lure on there. Those bank casts. 😍

These lures show that colour and shape aren't as important as the action a lure has. On finesse lures it probably makes a bigger difference. Thanks for another great vid.

At least you got a few in the boat. That blue and white seems like a good color combo for a lure. Be well and God bless.
