Hitting a #1 song today is harder than it ever was to be honest, since streaming amounts to so much of a song's circulation and eventual success. When one particular song dominates all media platforms, other hits, even the catchy ones sung by major artists, will struggle to reach the peak of the chart in the end. This isn't a pessimistic view but rather a realistic one. That said, I'm still hoping Mariah can return to form when she gets her stuff together, but if she really wants to score another big hit (I'm thinking of Top 10, or at best Top 5) there are some possible ways she should consider trying out: 1) Take a few more months to rest her voice, maintain a healthy lifestyle and go back into serious vocal training right after. 2) Work out routinely to stay in shape and rehearse before live performances to SLAY IT. 3) Dress more discreetly during talk shows or major public events to show her elegance. 4) Tap into the trending genre and collaborate with current hottest artists such as Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar or even Justin Bieber (who adores Mariah). 5) Write songs with clear messages, memorable lyrics and impossibly irresistible hooks that can get everybody singing or dancing along. 6) Come out with an album that is ambitious or creative to win critics' & young fans' heart, 7) Work with her team to promote her new record as much as possible. 8) Be more supportive of younger talents publicly to create a friendlier image.

Yes, it is possible for her to have another #1 single. The key is she needs the right team behind her, not the team she has at the moment. They don't have Mimi's back. Her publicity team is virtually none existent. A International superstar of Mariah's caliber, should have an all A list team not a D list of nobodys. Mariah needs an image boost. Not that I think there is anything wrong with her image but, public perception of her is down the toilet. She needs a professional manager, publicist and creative director. She needs that drive back she had in 1990 when her career started or at least like in 2005 with TEOM. At this point Stella had her isolated, even from the fans. Stella's attitude toward the fans is horrible. This is not hear say, I've witnessed it myself. Fans have always supported MC and I doubt she would agree with how a certain someone has been treating them. It's truly sad to see this happen to Mariah.

YDKWTD was the most radiophonic song of the album, even more than #Beautiful. I think that if the accident on the set never happened, #Beautiful could reach the Top10 or maybe the Top5, but it doesn't has the vibe to be a #1 song. YDKWTD has a repetitive chorus with a catchy beat. It would be a Top10 for sure if she and her label promoted it rightly. Although, You're Mine and TAOLG aren't hit-like singles. You're Mine is an imperfect copy of We Belong Together, and TAOLG is a song like Looking In, Close My Eyes or Outside, that would never be a hit but it would be a fan favorite or something like that. She needs to do something like she did on Me... I Am Mariah., but with her more contemporary style that made her famous. And Mariah, PLEASE, stop the collabs with these rappers. If you don't wanna stop, at least do it with some known and relevant rapper.

The video is not available for me but I need to voice my opinion, the problem is her team. Specifically management. Her "manager" has not "managed" to help with promotion or anything related to it. And I'm actually so scared for this new album because I feel like it will not be promoted enough, which is unacceptable. As a manager of a world famous singer you should be focusing on helping promote music by getting Mariah on talk shows, social media platforms, advertisements and such, instead of focusing on what doesn't matter.

I am a huge Lamb and my dream would be for Mariah to get her 19th #1. I think it is possible with these steps. -Separate friendship vs Business. She seems close to her team which is cool but things can get complacent and when bad things happen its usually her that takes the fall. -New Music Style. I am not saying to go all Top 40 with a Chain Smokers style song or work with Max Martin. She should work with Bruno Mars or The Weekends producers. -Better Promotion. This is a must! When Mariah release a new song she needs to be on talk shows to perform it and be in the public's eye. Lambs can't do all the work we need the help of the casual Mariah fans and the average radio listener.

Mariah had bad luck with the injury... with the remix who knows if #Beutiful could've been a top 10 at least...Personally speaking i think that "the art of letting go" was a horrible choice for second single, it would've been better putting "Faded" in there... Kudos to the positve video! She still makes beautiful songs its a fact but problem is maybe the Generation gap many young ones now just like the newer artists. Well i may not know all but i think this is true. Eventhough many young ones love/like or a fan of mariah carey it aint enough i guess. Yes MC might not be scoring any #1's but at least outside USA it can chart pretty well, And it might not chart but it was given certification which is awesome. Charts hits may be lacking but i will say this Mariah carey still slays sings better and greater than most be it studio or live!!!!! As the album The Elusive Chanteuse has had great reviews sadly the fans her real fans didnt show support thats why!!! There was some songs that has the potential to be #1 in that alvum.. Geautiful was #15 if only the promotions was prolonged or somethinbg...I want MC to have another hit if not top 5 if not top 10 if not top 20 and so on. I feel like she could’ve definetly had a number one hit from the charmbracelet era if she had waited till like 2003 instead of 2002 to release it and she released a little bit too soon after her breakdown.I feel like a lot of Mariahs current albums are full of number ones but I also feel like she just needs to wait till it’s the right time to release it because then people are gonna say it’s too soon which is was what happened with Charmbracelet because she released only 1 year after her public breakdown.But it’s not Mariahs fault because nowadays it’s harder for people to receive her music the way they used too because music has changed a lot since the early 1990s to the early 2000s and people want something that fits into the current style of music but I also feel like Mariah has been a little too conservative when it came to vocals on her most recent albums and that could be one of the reasons why she doesn’t get that much number ones anymore cause her last number one was back in December 2019.
