How Mary hears is through the grace of God. She hears all of the intentions prayed in communion of believers in Christ. She is in God, Who created time and space. There is the communion of believers, praying in one voice for the intention of their non believing pouses, the intention of one voice for their fallen away children, one voice for their country, one voice of countless millions for their sick, for her protection from war. All our voices have the same concerns. She faces each intention with voices as one in a gathering of people who live all over the world. She then goes before the next gathering of people praying in communion for the same intention, and then proceeds.

The same place Jesus said "Call Me into thy heart that we may have a relationship." We'll also forget where Scripture says that all things are not contained in the Bible, and forget where Jesus says that there is more to be taught but it cannot be borne. We'll forget too that we are actually told to intercede for one another, and that those who believe in Christ have eternal life so their passing from the earth does not mean that intercession for fellow Christians stops. Oh, and nevermind Luke 16:24, where Jesus teaches prayer to those who have gone before us. It's like the thumpers have never actually read the Bible. Nice try though Rob.
@smeatonlighthouse438427 күн бұрын
@@drstewart You haven't answered Rob's question. What you are suggesting is NOT in the Bible and therefore cannot be proven. You might as well have said Santa told me, it is all in your imagination.
@drstewart27 күн бұрын
@@smeatonlighthouse4384 I definitely answered, referencing Scripture about how intercessory prayer is commanded (1 Timothy 2:1-4), and there are no such things as "dead saints" (Hebrews 12:1, 23-25, John 3:16, 11:25, Romans 6:3-4, Colossians 2:12, Revelation 6:9-10). A real Bible believer would already know the content but there's citations for the ignorant. If you've ever asked a believer to pray for you, or prayed for someone else, you've done what Catholics do with the saints, including Mary. Saying "that's not in Bible" when I've shown the verses that support it is simply ignoring Scripture. Also, the premise is absurd that if something isn't explicitly spelled out in the Bible or Jesus didn't say it, it's invalid. That idea itself is NOT in the Bible therefore you're trying to stand on non-Biblical doctrine. The only thing imagined here is that Sola Scriptura carries any weight for non-gullible people. Tell me where Jesus wants a relationship, or said to say the sinner's prayer, or answer an altar call, or to drive a car. If you can't then it's all in your imagination, right? Psh. To summarize, so you can try to clarify what you're attempting to criticize, we are commanded to intercede in prayer for one another. This duty continues beyond death because despite the out of context verse that the bapticostal thumpers like to pull out of Ecclesiasticus, believers who die in Christ have eternal life, and are part of the cloud of witnesses who watch us and are aware, offering prayers for us. Biblical doctrine. Argue with Paul, not me.

If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you.” MATTHEW 25: 41 Then he will say to those at his left hand, ‘You who are accursed, depart from me into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels, 42 for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not give me clothing, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44 Then they also will answer, ‘Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and did not take care of you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment but the righteous into eternal life.”

No, sorry, it's most improbable:1. They would have to deal with thousands of prayers all at once. That means they would have to have the power to know who is praying and who isn't. 2. They could never ever rest, let alone sleep! 3. Who decides who is a saint? Answer - the pope. He cannonises the saints. So we would be praying through a dead person who the pope, not God, has decided is in heaven and prayable to. A bit presumptuous I would suggest. 4. Would you talk to your best friend through someone else? No. So talk to God. You don't need pope-appointed saints, or Mary for that matter.
@cruznature754522 күн бұрын
1.They would have to know who is praying and who isn't. - They don't have to know who isn't since the ones that are not praying are not directing prayers to them, but they would be able to hear prayers through the power of the Holy Spirit. 2. They never rest let alone sleep. -That's a perspective of human intellect, Presuming one needs sleep and rest in heaven. 3. Who decides who is a saint? - In Christ we are all Saints we but have not achieved the fullness of sainthood until we reach heaven, for the saints in heaven entered it without sin and are considered Holy. Here on earth we are being called to be Holy and it's a an ongoing process to rid ourselves of sin and inclinations to sin. 4. Would you talk to your best friend through someone else? - If you and your best friend became mad at each other and stopped talking to each other one might require of a mutual friend to intercede and reach out to make amends. God required Jobs friends to have Job pray for them because God was angry at them and turned away because of their sin. He listened to Job prayer.

Understanding how The Blessed Mother Mary can hear all prayers at once is very simple. **When we die in Christ, we remain fully United with God as ONE for all Eternity (((I-John 15:4 and II-John 17:21) ***We (as Creatures) will do GREATER THINGS as Jesus did and share everything (His powers, Glory, Omnipotence, HIS Ability to be, see, and hear everyone at all times because we are ONE with HIM) Everything that/Who is GOD's and ours per Jesus own teachings. (III-John 14: 12-14 and Luke 15:31 ****The Blessed Mother will have a special higher place in Heaven simply because Mary is the wife of the Holy Spirit, The Obedient Daughter of GOD, and the Mother who carried and gave birth to Jesus. If GOD asks us to honor our Father and Mother, how much more is Jesus honoring HIS Mother in Heaven. Exodus 20:12

God wills that ALL people be saved, right ? So with that in mind, He will make it possible for all prayers to be heard simultaneously. If God is everywhere, so is His Mother, the Blessed Virgin everywhere. In Her many apparitions, Mary tells us to say our rosary every day. Did she complain about not being able to hear all prayers and rosaries at once ? That's the least of my worries. Mothers do everything for their children, no matter how many they are; so what about our heavenly mother ? Let us not be distracted by such arguments that produce no fruit.

Mary was assumed into heaven body and soul, and so not left to decay, as Mary carried the Saviour of the world in her womb. Read the scriptures where Mary proclaimed the Magnificat when visiting Elizabeth. All generations shall call blessed, also look up Catholic Answer's on the subject. God gave special grace to Mary, as the Mother of the Saviour, as Gabriel said to Mary at the Annunciation, Hail full of Grace, to be full of grace is to be sinless, Mary never sinned. Mary is very much alive in heaven, powerfully interceding for us, and still bringing us to her Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, Jesus love's his Mother, at the wedding feast of Cana, he performed his first miracle, changing the water to wine, even though his public life had not yet begun, because Mary said they have no wine, even though he said what has that to do with me, Mary said to the servants, do what he tells you, and you can read the rest in the scriptures. Who better to bring all your petitions to Jesus, than his Mother ? Mary is our mother also !!

Your comment is on bible alone. The Bible states Christ established His Church. Where in the Bible does it say Christ established His Bible? The Bible is the Word of God. But it is text and text is subject to interpretation. The Church through Christ is the interpreter of the Bible based on the apostles, not revolutionaries 1500 years later. After much persecution, Christians began to call on Mary to pray for them starting around 200 AD, and witnessed her powerful intercession. She asked the Lord for wine at a wedding, but He answered it was not His time. But He submitted to His mother, and the wedding party had the best wine. Think.
