Exactly! Why is this open for debate when there are numerous ahadith regarding the relationships between non-mahrams? All you have to do is quote a few ahadith and this would be a 5 minute video. Last question after quoting the ahadith - do you know better than Allah SWT and His Messenger SAW? Clearly not so anything you say in favor of non-mahram friendships is satanic justifications. End of discussion.

Oh my dear sisters Y’all better drop these so called friends that are men. There should be no conversation with a non Mahram unless it’s work or school related. Other than that, kindly give short answers to those who approach you so they know where your boundaries lie. Your opinion on this matter is irrelevant in comparison to the Islamic rulings.

I’m a Christian, I go to a Mennonite church where we separate the genders during the service. Women on the right, men on the left because it shows that we are all family and that men have a different role in our church. I would be friendly to any man in our church, especially if they are my friends husband. But, I wouldn’t go out of my way to make friends with single men in the church and would find it indecent to spend a lot of time with them. Our youth spend time together in public, but alone time is frowned upon. And no kissing before marriage. If a young couple would be caught, they would be reprimanded by a minister. Marriages happen fairly quickly. It’s really interesting to learn about Islam and it’s practices. There are some similarities sometimes.

Yes sister there are many similarities.. especially among us who stick to our traditional beliefs, practices and mindset..and it's very good of u to remain modest despite all this filth happening around us...modesty is of utmost importance in Islam and without modesty, a person is considered to be as good as dead..the Arabic word for modesty is "Haya" which is derived from "Hayaat" which means Life

Advice to sisters who want pious husbands. If you have guy friends you can get a bad reputation & be perceived as someone with low values and lacking in islamic knowledge. Many guys will also lie to their guy friends and pretend that they "scored" and you would not even be aware of it and wondering why you don't get proposals.

THIS is what I mean bro!! about my last post..... Assalamu alaikum brothers.. I think what you need to do which would be a good idea is the sisters who come on your program can still be fitna even though they wear niqab.. as it can be stylish fancy and fitna style niqab.. also you can see the eyes (also eyebrows tend to be plucked and trimmed) which can cause elements of fitna for the viewers. Simply have them as audio only or at most blurred. These are just my thoughts. Jazak Allah khayr

This subject of friendships with the opposite gender is quite touchy as normally in our muslim culture (I’m pakistani) we unfortunately don’t practice the Islamic segregation of genders as much and the boundaries are quite relaxed. I was born in Saudi Arabia and there was a lot of gender separation and before I used to find it kinda eh but now that I moved to Pakistan and noticed the difference and seeing as Saudi Arabia is slowly progressing to a more westernized approach it does sadden me a bit. I will not pretend to be an angel and like the sisters here I’ve some of the same feelings as them I was a tomboy and have three older brothers, when I was younger I was friends with mostly boys and cuz rarely the people we used to visit had girls around my age (either married or way too young almost babies lol) so I resorted to the boys and cuz I also got along with them Obvs but as I grew I was mainly with the aunties bored out of my mind lol. School life in terms of friendship sucked but then I had a clique but once I moved all of em became online friends and experienced friend break ups too khair Allah removed them for the better, i did make male friends online but as I became more involved in faith and faced the truth that I have been almost purpose been ignoring on this matter of guys and girls being friends, I cried alot to Allah about it but I knew it was necessary and I knew I could do it cuz they were just online friends and not irl friends so Allah made that process easy for me, I also thought to myself if I can’t be friends with them in this world then I’ll be friends with them in Jannah, then everything will be alright. I dont really have female friends outside of my family members and my actual brothers but you know one day InshaAllah I’ll have good friends and now I have an actual standard for friends because of that one quote “a man’s religion is based upon the religion of his friend so be careful of who u take as a friend” so yeah this my very long rant which is all over the place! JazakAllah for reading this far, if I made any mistakes that is from me and the shaytan, Allah and His messenger are free from it.

You would be utterly delusional if you think there is not some level of attraction or unspoken feelings from one or the other. The level that women have friendships and with each other And try to emulate that in men will always lead down a slippery slope. Men will tend to want more from that relationship and end up being friend zoned..And women will continue that 'friendship' under the naivety that they won't pursue something with them or they don't see them in a certain way. When your male 'friend' gets married he won't be your 'friend' anymore 🙃 they way you probably won't want your husband to be messaging other female 'Friends' don't think they will put you on a special pedestal. And then you have the women with the "Gay best friend"...whole other topic of delusion..🙃 MashaAllah, amazing podcast with amazing panel members. may Allah bless you all! Such an important topic that was discussed, shout out to the awesome sisters! ❤️ ☺️

Assalamu alaykum! WOW...I think this was the most uncomfortable conversation I've ever seen in I can't even remember how long lol and for completely understandable reasons. You were all very courageous to take on this topic so well done all! I sincerely appreciate sisters that wear the full niqab...skukran sisters! Hijab is an obligation for men and women - we know this. And we know hijab doesn't just refer to appearance, but in fact refers even more importantly to one's modesty. I know from personal experience it IS possible for one's modesty to be stronger than one's biology (I had a platonic relationship with a female best friend for fifteen years - we were like siblings to each other and looked out for each other - mind you this was before I reverted), but from all I've observed in my many decades in the dunia I would surely agree it's not common and wholeheartedly agree that the best course would be one of avoidance physically at least. JazakAllah khayran to all who strive for the sake of Islam! #no

That dont make sense to me are they just supposed to be a loner then, people say people with same sex attraction, have their same sex attraction reduced by having healthy male friendships

Despite what many people on KZbin will tell you, there is no consensus on whether or not music is haram. This is not some made-up modern view. There is Hadith that mentions girls singing and playing instruments and the Prophet (peace be upon him) allowing it. The commonly quoted Hadith from Sahih al-Bukhari that alludes to music being haram is not reliable because it has no supporting chains. Ibn Hazm considers such Hadith to be fabricated. There is a rich history of music from the Muslim world that goes back a thousand years. However, that doesn't mean you can listen to whatever you want. Pay close attention to the lyrics and the frequency of the instruments. Very often you will find that they are very juvenile and go against what we believe in Islam in subtle ways and negatively affect your soul. There are very beautiful İlâhîler pouring out love to Allah, the Prophet (peace be upon him), and Islam dating back to Ottoman times that are still sung and played today. To have reformist movements of the 19th and 20th century say that we were wrong for almost a thousand years and it's all haram is insulting to not only our intelligence, but to the scholars before us as well. If you don't want to listen to music, that's perfectly fine, but we shouldn't say there is a consensus that it is outright haram.

Men are polygynous by nature. It's natural for men to look for multiple sexual partners from among the women which makes it close to impossible for them to maintain platonic friendship towards any woman. Women are hypergamous by nature. I agree, it doesn’t even make sense if you intend to marry one day. How do you know you like a person if you can’t even be friends? Are we supposed to judge on looks and rumours and then directly talk to the dad??? I agree that a man and woman shouldn’t be alone if they are not mahram. But to completely ignore the other gender seems kinda ridiculous and extreme. Why do muslim assume that every man is a pervert who just wants to sleep around, blame yourselves, not everybody has zero control over his urges.

@@takieddinbalti6956 you can get to know the potential through the woman having her wali there. Liking someone isn’t enough to foster a successful marriage, and often times it will blind you to the other persons faults because you’re willing to overlook them. You can interact with the woman as long as she has a male guardian there because he isn’t attracted to you and blinded by that attraction, being a man he would also better be able to get a read on your intentions. Nowadays yes it may be hard to find someone, but even you agree that having friends is not a platonic ordeal because you state that it would be how you meet your wife. So you already see the danger no? They’re not a friend then they’re a potential. If things don’t work out would you still remain friends even if you had feelings for them? What if shaitan tempts you? Maybe not every man is a pervert, but you will not know until you are put into a situation where that may happen, so why risk it? May Allah bless you with a pious spouse insha’Allah.

If you are meeting a person for the purpose of marriage then talk to your family so they can reach out to the girls family have a family get together and you can talk to the women there. And if the family wants to pursue marriage further then you can get together more and talk more it's not rocket science.

Assalamu alaikum brothers.. Simply have them as audio only or at most blurred. These are just my thoughts. Jazak Allah khayr

Yes exactly, these days niqab has also become problematic. The only sister who wore it properly was the one bottom right. It should not be attractive. The sister bottom left has beautiful eyes so niqab causes it to be highlighted. She should have put her video off, especially since her face got exposed.

Well, we do agree that we live in the same earth. We can’t just ask the opposite genders to go out of the planet right. In fact, we live side by side (Men and Women). But, when it comes to interactions, we need to set a border. For me personally as a man, I realized that I can’t avoid interaction with woman. In the college, I sometimes got paired with female members in a group work, and of course I’ll not say to the lecturer “sir, I am not going to work with these girls, it’s prohibited”. At the office, of course there are female workers. And I can’t just like “hey, don’t talk with me, and don’t look at me, it is haram” like huh? It is not this way. For me personally, It depends on what term of “Friends”. If we talk about Best Friends. I don’t have any female best friends. All my best friends are boys. But friends, yes I do have. Female friends at College, female friends at work. BUT, I set up a border with them, this is the most important This is just my opinion, if you guys don’t agree. I also appreciate. Because we can’t push each other 👌
