Can Microsoft Copilot for Finance do My Job?

As a chartered Accountant that teaches both Microsoft Copilot and Excel, I'm wondering how this will impact real business workflows. I think it will be interesting for entry level jobs for them to be more autonomous and allow managers to review their jobs easier. Seems interesting !

And what part does AI have in all of this? For me that just looks like a clickable formula editor with an output template. It doesn’t even find the semantics of the column. If we keep slapping the AI logo onto everything at that paste, the power button of my laptop will need one by next week.
