We've seen that you can tailor a system around the best players currently available in a team. We've also seen that you are well capable of finding good transfers to strengthen your teams. What if the challenge, this time around, would be creating a system in which the worst performing players can perform better? Felix, for example, as played in multiple positions and roles in his career but he doesn't seem to perform that much better in one rather than the other. It would be cool to see you try to find a system in which Gusto, Felix and Madueke (and other Ugly Ducklings) can perform better than they did in the simulations.

Really looking forward to the anti meta tricks you will pull. I understand you will counter press since every team in real life uses it too. What might work is to create some systems tailored to outmatch these meta tactics and try to get numerical advantages in all phases of play. Something like a 5-3-2 is theoretically a hard counter to the 4-2-4 given that you can flood the middle of the pitch and suffocate their play.

I'm so happy you worked out the meta, as there are some things I try to avoid when I play. For example, I haven't played an AF for 3 years as it's a stupidly overpowered role! Some suggestions. it's possible - field a team of all left footed players, then field a team of all right footed players. Play 4 "No nonsense" roles at the back but instruct them to play out of defence.

Working out the meta unfortunately was the easy bit. Working out how to counter it, less so 😅 I do like the idea of a one footed team!

What I am playing while at Chelsea is a 4-3-3 with two wing backs on support or defence, two ball playing defenders, two inside forwards and a complete forward. And then there is a catch. The midfield is a flat midfield three where LCM and RCM are box to box and carrillero (your choosing which side is what, the idea is you have a WB on support and the carrillero on his side to cover for him while he is overlapping) and an advanced playmaker on support for the CM. Always press slightly more, defence is all the way up, mixed or low crosses, run on defence, slightly wider formation and distribute on CBs and WBs. I think you can work with this based on the gazillion players this team has. For me it is proven to be a flexible formation on attack and a pretty structured one on defense. I would call it a bit of structured chaos IMO. Also you can adjust it depending on what the opposition is playing pretty easily. COME ON BLUES!

I like your analysis, the way you think about the game, and the unique perspective your style of play brings to the table. Sound is a matter of taste, so feel free to ignore this. The sound of your voice is a bit on the bassy side. This can make what you're saying a little bit harder to understand at times. In order to increase vocal clarity, you might want to experiment with a low cut filter and up the higher mids a bit. If this results in annoying sibilants, try adding a de-esser into the mix.

Modern football is so evolved and every player in England's top flight should be capable technically and mentally, with the ball and off the ball. So how important can familiarity be? With so many players in the squad you should have a bunch of players to suit each position, BUT what if no player is allowed to play in the suggested best position. Each player has shown his abilities and his unique skills in their position and I would find it very interesting to think about how they could contribute to the team in another place. Maybe Adarabioyo's traits aren't the problem, but his position which keeps him from taking his play to the next level. There are many examples in the world of football where players switched their positions and became far better. How could a mixed up team perform? Nice video, as always! Have a great day

@@mustermannfm oh I forgot about that part, I think including the Goalkeepers would damage the results drastically , so I suggest using proper Goalies (unless Jan Koller is in your Squad :D ) And for the rest I think it would be enough to not play everyone completely out of position, just not in the one perfect position your Assistant suggests (I think there is a column in the squad screen), respectively his best position in your tactics (e.g.: if someone's best position would be Left wingback, but you're playing a 4 atb, he isn't allowed to play Left Back) I thought it would be an interesting concept. If you think it's not competetive enough maybe you could limit it too a number of players

Let's go stupid. A formation where you try to move players into positions where someone was. E.g. Liberos and Half backs. WCBs and IFBs, DLFs with Shadow Strikers. Oh and Wide Target Forward.
