@@carlosemilio5180 I don't know what entity107 is talking about but Alexander Luthor of Earth 3 killed and stole Will Batson's powers and can now turn into Mazahs but him saying "Shazam" does literally nothing so it can safely be assumed that Billy saying "Mazahs" also does nothing. If you mean Mxy, nothing would happen either because that's not how that works. Mamaragan (The Wizard) is the living embodiment of the Living Lighting that powers Shazam.

Also as I mentioned Mamaragan is the embodiment of the Living Lighting and Yz aka The Thunderbolt is a 5th dimensional being (one who passed himself off as a genie, much as the imps have historically been associated with myths and legends of various other magical creatures) so...

I think it’s just due to the fact that he controls anything in a dimension lower than his. Shazam’s lightning exists in a the dc universe so he is able to control it.

It's a VERY GOOD thing such beings are rendered quite apathetic on wanting to conquer worlds, universes, and the like. Better them staying whimsical rather than concerningly sober is what I'm saying.

Honestly that would be like an emperor conquering his own city. There's people who reasonably speculate the name thing that's used as his weakness is just another part of the game so he doesn't actually have restrictions he already owns the universe and can change it on a whim but that's not fun and there's nothing they can offer he can't just make himself easier so he just f's with people because he can get a laugh out of it

I'd say yes - I'm a big Grant Morrison fan, and I've always liked his interpretation of the 5th dimension being "Imagination", and therefore essentially limitless in possibility. The idea of Mxy being able to wield the Shazam lightning seems like a given compared to some of the other feats we've seen him do.

Jonny thunder and his lightning genie , are in the background of a dcau ep , and I think you said something about myx being a genie , I’m not sure if Jonny thunders genie is a 5th dimensional being though. I found this on a dc wiki During a Justice League/Justice Society crossover, when the world was being threatened by an evil Thunderbolt, Jakeem soon discovers that the Thunderbolt actually came from the Fifth Dimension and was controlled by speaking it's name (Yz) backwards ("Say You"). With Captain Marvel's help, Jakeem was able to merge Yz with another blue genie named Lkz from the Fifth Dimension. Lkz is controlled by speaking the phrase So Cûl (pronounced "so cool"). Yz and Lkz form a new purple genie named Ylzkz and this new genie is also now controlled by the phrase "so cool."

They're similar but they're powers are technically different impossible man's an alien who works within the comic myx is basically a writer his powers exist because he's on a different narrative level so he can just rewrite aspects of the story he doesn't like

I don't know if this is evidence of a deeper connection than him simply having domain our universe in general. The magic of shazam comes from the gods, and superman has been shown to be within the same ballpark as some divine entities, but he has never defeated Mxyzptlk in a show of raw strength. When Joker got hold of Myx's power, he overpowered the Spectre and Darksied with ease. Mxyzptlk can control the magic of shazam, simply because it is something that exists in the dc universe, and that places it within his domain to control. He is not a divine entity, he is simply above divinity.

Since somebody else already mentioned Thunderbolt, I have something quite the opposite of what you asked for. In the finale of Injustice Year Three, Doctor Fate and Billy use the Shazam's lightning, to banish Mr. Mxyzptlk, along with Trigon, to the Void, wherever "the Void" is.

I didn’t think Myx can control the lighting entirely. As in summon it or tell it when to strike. It is said that the lighting belongs to Zeus. But I think he’s powerful enough to redirect and manipulate its energy elsewhere. Like if Zeus throw a bolt that Billy was supposed to catch Mxy would be the third party that strikes the ball mid-throw.
