If your levels are normal, it is likely not needed.

You've lost me. How does this relate to ADHD? It sounds like this is just about folate levels, why would that specifically cause ADHD?
@OswaldDigestiveClinic Жыл бұрын
Individuals with a MTHFR mutation are unable to absorb sufficient amounts of folate from their foods. With low amounts of folate neurological symptoms can occur.

@@OswaldDigestiveClinic So not specifically ADHD, but a list of potential symptoms which ADHD happens to be part of?
@magneticflux7833 Жыл бұрын
Yes. ADHD is a symptom. That's what's she saying. If you've been deficient your whole life you develop ADHD or can be born with it. It's a deficiency cause the gene is mutates. Methalayted vitimains can help reduce ADHD symptoms.

Folic acid blocks folate receptors, causing your body to hold toxins which is the root cause of many issues.

No, it can't have an impact on cognitive abilities. Attention is the concentration of awareness, not the concentration of cognitive capacity. I presume you will try to argue that ADHD individuals score lower on IQ tests. So, allow me to ask you... Would someone who is anxious not score lower on an IQ test if they have a panic attack while they sit such a test?
@OswaldDigestiveClinic Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your thoughts and comment. Awareness is a form of consciousness, an alert recognition of something. Concentration is focus, being absorbed, a fixing on the object you are concentrating on. Therefore, the individual may concentrate on said test while experiencing a panic attack, but they are aware of the physical feelings at the time.

@@OswaldDigestiveClinic Nonetheless, let us not deviate from the main topic, which was the claim that it has an impact on cognitive abilities, which is false. Also, "the individual may concentrate on said test while experiencing a panic attack" is incorrect. You cannot concentrate on anything when you have a panic attack...

@Paul Lucaci I don't get the comparisons. I have ADHD and anxiety, on an average day neither impede my ability to complete on a specific task/test. My best friend has had panic attacks to a level that she'd have to stop the test until she calmed down and I have a coworker whose attacks make her physically freak out. They're different magnitudes entirely, physical responses versus a wandering train of thought and awareness.

Because not all ADHD symptoms are the same for all people. Has nothing to do with your iq. That's why an elimination diet might cure anxiety or even the wondering mind. You can't cure it. It's a vitimain deficiency cause from your genes or from a shitty diet. Some are born with it other develope it.
