While Nehru gave lot of authority to Waqf during his tenure, the amendment to Waqf Act in 1995 made it more draconian. PVN gave sweeping powers to WAQF Board to retain Muslim vote bank. Hindus, Christians and many Muslims too face the risk of their property usurped by Waqf. Many Muslims could not foresee the threat of their property being taken away by Waqf and blindly scanned the QR code. Tomorrow if Waqf comes after their Property, only Modi ji will come to save them and not any Mufti
