I’m from London and I had serious beef with a guy and I was strapped up 24/7. I moved to sparkhill to get away from the beef. One day I was working for Sky tv in Birmingham city centre in some office and I came across some pictures of dead black men who had been shot and at that point I decided to get rid of my machine and I knew I was never gonna pop no one. @@therealist4186 Im aware of what the authorities do.i lived in handsworth for some time and know most of the people on here. when i see the young guys i see strength and potential, my idea is just one simple SOLUTION to actually give hope to these kings , as they dont seem to realise its just that simple. If we give them hope to know they are capable of great things if they use their minds and wisdom and think of the bigger picture. they can either struggle in a small house hustling LEGALLY for a couple of years and end up with capitol or take to the streets and end up in jail. its that simple because ive seen it done.

This documentary is powerful, big shout to shabba for the persistentce for a year without any support from his side and everyone who came together for a real cause. I think drugs need to be addressed as they play an important role in crime. When you trace it back to the source, you realise this shit just aint there to help you get to where you want to be but brings misery, being taken away from family and friends (prison), death from overdose or deciet from one who wanted to make money, family members loosing their children to drugs or the user stealing from their family and friends burning all bridges to being all alone then commiting suicide in the end because they had nothing else to live for. Without drugs in circulation prisons, courts, police station, probations, ministry of justice, and all who are involved with dealing with those who deal with drugs whould be out of pocket! Its a multi trillion pound business and we aint the ones who are getting rich from it! - This issue need addressing properly.

Having, lived in Birmingham all my life , coming from immigrants who settled here in the 60s , primarily because the British empire colonies were asked to emigrate to build the " mother land " I can say that, it was never to uplift anyone but a new form of slavery, you feed people profanities through media knowing it will disturb the weltunshaung of a person, the secondary school I attended is now closed , because it failed year upon year with producing people that passed GCSEs at grade a-c , many schools ended like this , and majority of people ended up doing the low payed jobs , coupled with broken families because the media allowed, like I said information that disturbs/ interrupts a child's development, especially domestic, social insecurities from others that pour over the next generation, Those who don't want low payed wages and ultimately be a tenant for the rest of their lives will resort to getting that wealth by any means , this is what it comes down to, all fed by the media that our government allows to propagate,

Man...the problem is, these guys are living in a different reality..their experience of existence is heightened, so that the slightest affront to their perceived masculinity, to the respect of their ends, results in a massive, over reaction. This starts in the head rush of youth and is reinforced by association with older guys in the gangs. So its up to the elders to stop the glorification of street gang membership and violence, to stop bragging and bigging themselves in front of the kids.
