This video was hard to follow because of the way the numbers were presented. I have following two humble suggestions: 1. All numbers should have been presented using the same currency and naming convention e.g. either dollars or pkr + million billions or arab kharab 2. The numbers should have been shown on the screen for easier following.

Urgently need to end the reckless, extravagant spending of bureaucracy, Establishment, parliament , judiciary on their complimentary fancy lodgings, perks and privileges, special allowances, free fuel & electricity all being paid by public taxpayer via excessive indirect taxation. Given Pakistan's woefully inadequate GDP and how meagre national revenue is spent on population welfare and development its completely unsustainable and destructive. Which is in effect illegal and daylight robbery. Indirect taxation is imposed regardless of income status so actually creates more poverty and feeds the vicious cycle of financial dependency and never ending debt.

Pakistan will never change unless we change ourselves first. Being as a nation, we always mourning about inflation, higher cost of living and whole family depends on one person salary. We have almost half of Pakistan containing women but if you are look job market less than 20% are economically actively. We need to break this culture and everyone should work based on his/her skills set to contribute the economy. I’m amazed to see young Pakistani students/professionals are happy to work so called odd jobs in foreign countries but they don’t want to work onto such jobs in their own country. Unless we change our attitudes and mindset our economic situation will gets worse no matter who ever comes to govt🥸

Nice presentation However, you forgot to explain your listeners how these institutes come up with $$$ or Euros at first place. We need to educate ourselves about how modern banking system works, how these institutes create currency out of nothing to loan out and enslave countries like pakistan. Such a shame that we were supposed to be one strong nation and today we are fighting between us . Their is no doubt we would have been competing with America if we were together. The idea that hindus would have hedgemonised elections is completely illogical 100 crore Hindus 70 crore muslims of subcontinent with the Indian constitution that has ensured free and fair elections for 75 years in India. With it's secular fabric would have meant that extremism on both sides would be in check. With regional and lingual differences their would have been no absolute majority in India. Such a shame Jinnah could not understand that. Congress kept winning over muslim league beacause many muslims supported Congress. Muslim league however was a muslim party,( the name itself) they could only garner the Muslim votes so they lost all the time. And this gave him the impression that muslims will loose election. Completely illogical

very asymmetrical analogy. Bangladesh has no outstanding major land disputes. Pakistan does as long as india refuses the Kashmir referendum. It was not the choice of West Pakistan to have Kashmir on its' side. Had the situation been reverse, Bangladesh would be the same. Also, Pakistan did not choose Afghanistan as its' neighbor nor did it invite Soviet Russia there. It also didn't require India to align with communist Soviets. Nor did it ask the Americans to come for a "nation building" adventure. I don't mean this a insult, for good or bad, Bangladesh is a nobody in the international arena. But I am very happy Bangladesh has done well economically for its' people.

Pakistan should threaten to default if they cannot get a deal where they pay back the capital borrowed and not the interest incrued. It's the interest and the rate it's increasing at that we cannot keep up with. If Pakistan was a person, a financial adviser would reccomend default, rather than using payday loans or high interest credit cards to pay off loans and mortgages. However if we do this, we will have to live within our means, that means no more borrowing - which is something we are incapable of doing.

Karma , will hunt so badly . 1. No financial institution is willing to lend , because of high CPEC interest rate. 2. Gone to IMF multiple times , so it’s difficult to any institution to lend money . 3. China will bleed Pakistan in future and at some point you guys will say , it’s better to mend relations with India , rather than working with China . It’s not really late for changing .

@@s9ka972 Hmmm They can't, but they should! The mistakes were committed and they have been giving chances to the state to put the returning the debts off for a few years. Mistakes of the past should be kept aside and here we are talking about the ramifications of the "unprecedented" production of co2 gas that is a result of the Raucous industrial activities of the affluent states. We are incarcerated in this predicament because of their surfeit production of CO2 and it is foisted upon us. As far as the case of natural calamity is concerned, they raised voices and funds through UNGA, etc. but they are enough to save the state from further loss by the ingress of the floods. But once those" puny" dollars are spent for it then rehabilitation of the professional activities will demand more money bro. And as he has mentioned, how a state can pay back the debts when it needs a monumental amount, which it, itself, doesn't have? So, they have to do this because they did injustice to us. IMF is ensuring that Pakistan, or for that matter any other country, applying for debt doesn't get intellectually strong enough where they could challenge IMF's machinations. IMF does so because it's IMF's business or else how would it pay fat salaries and emoluments to its employees. IMF has to run its shop. For instance, while IMF would keep telling a country, caught in its debt tentacles, which prices to increase and which subsidies to do away with to ensure payment of IMF'S exorbitant interest rates, it would never advise a country how to raise the standard of living of its people by improving their purchasing power. In simple words, IMF is what capitalism is, a bloodthirsty vulture. Despite getting fat salaries, you would find the laptop-wielding IMF officials looking like cadavers with their jaundiced complexions and looks totally devoid of any signs of life.

Annual Remittances to Pakistan aren't that significant maximum 15 or 16 Bn USD annually . It won't even pay for 4 months of oil import.

One must ask how Pakistan ended up in this mess when its been blessed with such riches. I mean it must have been established politicians and certain POWERS who didn't do justice to Pakistan by not sufficiently stabilising it and using power for reasons of personal enrichment rather than creating a investment friendly business environment. It pains me to see that exactly those parties and their comrades are in power power again. To do what? More of the same? Well, that appears to be a heavily stupid idea. And to be honest for me the picture looks like this: America runs Pak Army and Pak Army runs Pakistan. As long as those esteemed Gentlemen in Khaki will not stand up to America's bullying tactics and fight this economic terrorism as it has successfully fought real world terrorism things will not improve. I can only hope that those esteemed Gentlemen make it to grow some balls and run the country properly against all odds, cause America or IMF will never want Pakistan to succeed!

Overseas Pakistanis please stop your remittances to Pakistan for at least 3 to 4 months and this will result in a complete overhaul of the system in Pakistan once and for all. Our system of governance is like a chocked gutter that is full of corrupt institutions and staffed with corrupt to the core individuals. No country in the world can operate & progress with such a corrupt and immoral system.

Pakistan should take some lesson from Bangladesh Bangladesh at 50: From 'basket case' to rising economic star: Before the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, the economy was growing rapidly, recording an annual expansion in the range of 8% for years. The Asian Development Bank said that despite the hit from the pandemic, Even in coronavirus pandemic GDP growth was 4.5 in 2020. the Bangladeshi economy is recovering fast. "Bangladesh also grows enough food now to feed its 165 million people. The country has a significantly reduced maternal and infant mortality rate than many other countries in the world," Bangladesh achieved middle-income country status in 2015 and is on track to leave the United Nations' Least Developed Countries list. Currently, 98% of children nationwide have finished primary school, with more girls in secondary school than boys. Literacy rate rose to 74.9 % in 2021 from 26.8 % in 1974 According to Global Gender Gap report 2021 by the world Economic forum, Having closed 71.9% of its overall gender gap, Bangladesh is the most gender-equal country in South Asia for the seventh time in a raw. world Economic forum say the Muslim-majority nation over the years has invested heavily in the lives of women and girls. It has also made progress in combating child malnutrition and reproductive health. With a GDP of over $409 billion (€362 billion), Bangladesh currently has the world's 37th largest economy and forecasts suggest that the size of the economy could double by 2030 and Bangladesh will be the world's 26th largest economy Bangladesh has became a food sufficient Country ,the country became 4th largest producer of rice 3rd in vegetable and 3rd largest producer of fresh water fish in the world . In 1971, Bangladesh started receiving foreign direct investment (FDI). In 1972 Bangladesh received $90,000 FDI, and in 2019 Bangladesh received a record $3.61 billion FDI. private investment in Bangladesh was 14.5 Billion USD 10 years back but now in 2021 private investment increased by 74.5 Billion USD As of September 2019, Bangladesh has immunized 38 million children since 2003. Bangladesh is a polio free country since 2006 and has eliminated the neonatal tetanus threat. Global Gender Gap Index 2020. During the period of 1996-2017, the national rate of female labor force increased from 15.8 to 36.3%, which is higher than the South Asian average of 35%. Bangladesh has been successful in terms of bringing down infant mortality ratio drastically. In 1973, the infant mortality ratio was 167 per 1000 live birth and in 2020, the ratio brought down to 21 per thousand live birth The Bangladesh economy is dominated by the services sectors. Over the years, share of the service sectors increased to 56%. During last 50 years, Bangladesh economy experienced a significant decline in agriculture sector employment and rapid increase in industry and service sectors employment growth. Between 1980 and 2010, the service sector recorded steady growth of 3.6% to 6.7%. EXPENDITURE ALLOCATIONS: On allocations, consider first the big-ticket items. Education and Technology (15.7 per cent of Budget), Finance Division (15 per cent), Transport (11.9 per cent) make up nearly two-thirds of expenditures. Social Welfare, Agriculture, Local Government and Rural Development, Energy, and Health each get about, give and take, 5 per cent of the Budget. A third of all these expenditures will be spent via the Annual Development Plan. So most of the budget expenditure goes to Human development , Education ,Health , infrastructure development and for productive sources. Over 97% of medicine made in Bangladesh , Currently Bangladesh export medicine more than 140 country . The garment industry emerged as one of the nation's success stories in recent decades. It is the second-largest globally, only surpassed by China, and rakes in over $35 billion a year from exports.in 2022 only RMG export crossed over 42 Billion USD The sector employs 4 million people, the majority (80%) of whom are women, contributing to female empowerment. Meanwhile, the Bangladesh government has set an overall target for exports amounting to $51 billion in 2022. Remittances also play a major role in the economy, with Bangladeshi workers employed abroad transferring nearly $24.7 billion in the fiscal year 2021. "Per capita income has increased in Bangladesh. Now it is 2550 USD higher than India .Foreign reserve almost 45 Billion USD The improvement in female education has transformed the socioeconomic structure, Providing scholarships for women's and girls' education is another factor. The women are now more articulate. Net Enrollment in primary school 97.91%. Life expectancy more than 73 years .poverty rate is decreasing less than 10 %. more than 100 million people are using internet regularly. Power sector also made huge milestone of 100% access to Electricity in the golden jubilee year. The country successfully launched its first satellite " Bangabandhu -1 "on may 12, 2018 and became 57th country to have own satellite in space. Now Bangladesh preparing for 2nd satellite within 2025. Bangladesh is not resting but building 100 Economic zone almost 11 Economic zone ready for production and also building 28 hi-Tec park for ICT export .Bangladesh has set a vision to be a developed nation within 2041 . Despite of facing cyclone, flood ,climate change effect and very harsh border with army ruled Myanmar after all this happening in each and every year Bangladesh comeback strongly effectively in every sector of the country/*/

Very well explained sir. 1 question if anyone can help me to understand. How does tax help in returning foreign loans? We earn taxes in PKR and return loans in USD. DO we use these PKR to exchange them into USD from local market? If so then this flow of PKR in local market causes massive PKR devolution? which further results in loans going up since we have to pay future loans in USD too?
