Really cool interaction with your Bolas's Citadel + Tainted Pact means you can see the next card before you exile, which means you can decide what to cast for free off the Citadel (such as that Villis you didn't want "in hand." Could've stopped at Gemstone Mine and seen Villis on top.) Thanks for the sweet game

​@@ShadowWasntHere8433 There's one very specific instance I can think of where you're not allowed to see the top card, and that's if you're playing a land with an "As it enters" effect (such as shocklands, or lands where you choose something as it enters) off the top of your library. You don't get to see the next card before deciding whether to shock it in, or decide what to name. I think that also applies to Realmwalker, you don't get to see the top card until you've named the creature type as it enters.

​@@rowrow_ This doesn't have anything to do with "as it enters" or any similar effect, it is just a result of being part of the process of playing a land. You can't look if you are playing a land, casting a spell or activating an ability. This means you can look at the top card when choosing for Realmwalker. Technically for Realmwalker it wouldn't matter anyway since you can always just look at the top card until the point where priority passes with it on the stack and it starts resolving so you would know the card anyway, but you can look when making choices as something enters if you want because is not playing a land, casting a spell, or activating an ability. EDIT: I think I misunderstood your comment, I think you are saying you wouldn't be able look at the top card using Realmwalker's ability until you choose a card name. This is true but not because of the "as it enters" in the case of playing a land, it's because Realmwalker isn't on the battlefield until you make that choice so it's "look at the top card" ability doesn't exist until you have made the choice and it is on the battlefield. If you had another Realmwalker on the battlefield you could look while making the choice for a second Realmwalker that is entering.

I'm pretty sure this is how this works, but correct me if I am wrong. Bolas's Citadel allows you to look at the top card of your library at any time. This ability does not use the stack and is a special action. This means the top card of your library is knowledge just like your hand. I am pretty sure you can look at every card during a Tainted Pact / Ad Nauseum before each reveal.

You are correct, I mis-spoke though, it is not a special action. It's oracle ruling is as such "Bolas's Citadel lets you look at the top card of your library whenever you want (with one restriction-see below), even if you don't have priority. This action doesn't use the stack. Knowing what that card is becomes part of the information you have access to, just like you can look at the cards in your hand."

Pretty sure you could see the top of your library while playing Tainted Pact to hace better info on when to stop. For example, you could've seen the Vilis on the top and stop before revealing it.

Amazing to see two of my favorite channels collab! I didn't see that Magda win coming at all. I really need to look into the lines more. Also, you can look at the top with Bolas's Citadel during the resolution fo Tainted Pact. Casting Soul Partition from the top to exile the Chalice might have given Dylan the win.

The only time that this isn't possible is after declaring a spell or ability but before paying for it (to prevent someone trying to abuse the illegal action rules); in the middle of spell or ability resolution is fine.

Is day s undoing good in turbo nauseam cedh? I cant afford time twister or wheel of fortune. Wheel of missfortune it think its bad and i dont have it because you can spend 3 mana and a card doing nothing. The only wheel i have is windfall. I have sylas rograth and sometimes play all ramp and run out of cards so fast.

I just added realm-scorcher hellkite to Magda. Once you have the xorn combo, you have infinite mana and can pay 1R to deal 1 damage to target. That way, you can just respond to any interaction at instant speed.

say an opponent has a thassas oracle trigger on the stack followed by a demonic consultation cast, meaning they’re about to win the game.. if i then cast See Double and make a token copy of the thassas oracle and copy the spell that is demonic consultation, would my thassas oracle trigger before or after the demonic comsultation copy, therefore would it trigger while i still have a library or after i get rid of it? thought that would be a fun interaction and yeah it’s a 4 drop but wondered what ur thought on this card is

Something that has always bamboozled me is the chain of smog and witherbloom apprentice combo. I was told that you are not able to stop chain of smog copies but I'm pretty sure you can from what I have seen in play to win videos and also from some rulings but I was just wanting to know if it is true that you can stop it

Proteus Machine is a Very interesting card when there's a reasonable amount of artifact creatures that can and do count as a dwarf, and the only reason i understand not going for Universal Autamotan is because Chalice of the Void is in play. But i would had gotten Mettalic Mimic. The way the Clock Of Omens combo works in Magda is your tapping a untapped treasure token AND the "Dwarf" artifact creature to untap the "Dwarf" artifact creature gaining X TAPPED treasure tokens. Then, your win condition is normally either fetching up Scourge of Valkas, and/or Terror of the Peaks. Then literally slapping dragons onto the battlefield, one of which you would use is Lightning Shrieker. QUESTION; Can a vehicle be crewed when it was already crewed and turned into an artifact creature until end of turn? i was told NO by everyone who knows the rules but i may be mistaken.

Yeah you can, but you have to meet the full crew price. If it's a crew 3 and has already been crewed that turn, you would need a power 3.

Just a bit of feedback. When you tell us what you should done differently during the game, it kind of spoils the ending. You can still make the same comments, just think about how you are wording your statements. If you refer to being able to better execute a turn for example, it doesn’t infer to the overall result.
