The trick to General is to get him on left side of the screen, he slows down when facing to the right. And keep him from jumping over you. He will always try to pin you against the left side, and will attempt to regain facing left often, opening him up for attack.

The character itself is way too poweful compared to the rest of the cast. This means the cpu has to give you a chance and not use inhuman reactions 100% of the time and make 1 or 2 dumb mistakes, or it's simply not humanly possible to win.

Good old General, Lmao. Definitely the hardest fighting game boss ever in my opinion. I’ve only ever been able to beat him with Wulong, doing the good old reliable uppercut into sweep. But even that has to be timed just right to loop him with it.

Nothing is more humbling than the old school AI because of replayability. I still play SFII on SNES from time to time, dialing up to 7 and omg the shit you see is incredible from the AI it's absolutely stupid. Cross ups, wake up instant Dps, invincibility frames, full screen grabs, stupid fast normals, combos (at the time it was said there wasnt supposed to be such a thing) increased hit boxes, one button charge hits (think double triple scissor kicks that have a block string) oh impossible blockstring traps and that's just off the top of my head. Its fun but absolutely humbling to say the least

Hard to say. Snk has all the broken bosses. I would say mizuki from samsho 2 but the general is surpassing her.

No there isnt. I guess Parace L'sia from Arcana Heart is up there, but still the General surpasses her. She is extremely cheap, but the devs have implement a catch up mechanic: Every time you lose, she loses some health. Even with that mechanic removed, the General still surpasses her. He definitely may be the hardest boss in the fighting game genre, that’s a fact. But overall, while he may have a REALLY long unbeaten record of 15 years or smth since release, once you figure out how to exploit his AI it’s not the world’s hardest boss fight in gaming in terms of difficulty.

General is easy with Wulong.. do the dragon punch move, it'll miss but general will duck everytime then follow with a sweep immediately once you land and just keep repeating.. sometimes general will retaliate but just keep to that simple strategy.. also, I woulda upped the prize money if anyone can beat it with Bogie, he's the absolute worst char in the entire game..

Such a big prize had to be set for this level of challenge. To be honest i found this series of "offline event challenges" jumping right to General a little hasty choice. I mean its impossible to follow up from the challenge of fighting General... On the other hand, thinking about it, since it was Evo i guess that jump makes sense.
