What are your favorite Justin Wong matches and moments?

Evo moment 37, Justin is the ken
@matthew-epurnell16104 ай бұрын
Justin has a video on his YT channel where his daughter climbs on his back & grabs his neck as he's trying to play SF against a decent opponent, he starts laughing while telling the little girl to stop "choking" him & that's my personal favorite moment of his!❤

I think FChamp vs Justin was EVO 2014 and not 2015. EVO 2015 was KBR's run on MVC3 I believe. 😀

Justin is one of the most comfortable in front of a camera of all the gaming GOAT contenders. Makes him a good commentator too.
@DanFromHR4 ай бұрын
Hes definitely good in front of the camera, though I don't think the GOAT - he's a good commenter unless he talks about himself - he did that a few times during tournies and the players even joked about it - obbviously knows his stuff and is very good, but can be a little too self involved

I’m enjoying these types of videos more and more….overtime I’ve became a big justin Wong fan…but I’ve never did the proper research on his history…I took the moment I found out about him and followed him forward…so hearing these stories are always interesting and just makes me more of a fan of justin….the amount of detail he remembers and gives in each match and the mentality or thought process during those moments are incredible

It just goes to show how much top players like Justin and Yipes really care for their craft It isn't just *this made me because I never beat that guy" it's always for the crowd, for the community, for the history That one clip of Yipes crying says it best, "Not gonna front, I really care about y'all"

the ability to just create new strategies in high pressure situations is insane - its like a whole new level where its not just about perfect play even though you are under pressure its more like high pressure elevates his play even more. Its the same concept of daigos random shoriyuken that gets stronger because its like a final or something and noone expects it. Insane legend this man!

Wow... this guy is so smart during games. No wonder he's so successful. He's incredibly good at adapting to the situations he's presented and throwing the opponent off balance at key moments. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for his opponents, dominating the whole match, only to be surprised at some point and not knowing what the hell happened in the end.

Woooooo let's see the year is 2005 and this shook the FIGHTING GAME CIRCUIT WORLD!!!! I will never forget watching this on a psp in a movie theater parking lot. The games that were being played at that time was Guilty Gear X2 and Accent Core. Viruta Fighter 3 had a niche following, Capcom vs SNK 2 and Tekken 4 might've been the "last big thing". For the guys around me Justin was "THE BAD GUY" with his TURTLE playstyle in 3rd Strike but he was a MVC2 GOD along with Y!pes and SMOOVE VIPER who were the guys i looked up to. Those were the days. There were many names then and many more now!

Get a alex valley interview. Hes the reason i can play fighting games. I was like 11 or 12 when cbox live just came out. I bought cvs2 and when i got online i was about to give up, the only reason i remember this story is because my name had power in it and people made fun of my name because it sounded nerdy and auyo generated..and it was. But i was about yo quit and a guy named calipower said "kid dont quit let me show you how to read the move list, how to charge ect..he also told me those guys doing the crazy combos i saw and wanted to do so bad wasnt reall realistic he said those guy where just different lol. Found out 20 urs later who calipower was..i remember him saying he flew to japan to play fighting games and i thought it was a lie because i never heard of a big tournament..turns out he had a manga of him and diago in japan lol. Thanks alex it was nice what did for me.

4:35 Justin is the GOAT but I want to say for players getting into 3s ken -- raw reaction hitconfirming Ken's 2mk -> shippu is 100% a thing. I didn't believe it for YEARS but it can absolutely be done looking at the health bar or points to confirm. Problem is that it takes a ton of focus and doesn't work well online due to rollbacks causing mis-confirms. I would say personally I can get it 60-70% of the time while never getting it on block. I usually just go for the "situation confirms" as Justin says though since it takes so much effort, lol
