if you are not lvl 6 then dont fill it up to 4 bars. Do atleast 3. Critical hits and the jet special attack reduces those bars by 1. Its all about timing. You have to use skills at correct time so it doesnt get filled up. Besically dont use shadow moves 4 times. use 3 times then use critical hit or that flying special attack to reduce the shadow meter. (Hope it helps)
