Kenny read this if you want your day to be a little brighter, because you made my life a little brighter. Happy belated birthday Kenny. I want to let you know that your videos have gotten me through some very hard times. I got in a really bad car accident, had to be air lifted to the hospital. I’ll spare the details but I broke like everything you can break and had some complications. Was in the hospital for nearly a year and it was 1.5-2hrs from home, so while friends and family came and saw me, it’s asking a LOT and I wouldn’t expect people to drive 2hrs both ways all the time to come see me. I wouldn’t want them to, obv people have lives. The first 3-4mo or so I didn’t have a phone or laptop nor could I use one physically because of casts and equipment etc. plus all the meds. After a few months my best friends copped me an iPad mini or whatever and loaded it with a ton of music and pods Bc I still couldn’t rly type and stuff. After about 6-7mo (these are all rough timelines bc it’s been a while and obv I was on all kinds of meds, but theyll be close) I was able to take off the big piece of equipment and could move around in bed a bit more. Music, Netflix, and KZbin got me through that (along with a wonderful psychiatrist I connected with, which I highly recommend to anyone. You don’t have to have serious problems to see one. I was mentally fine, but she helped me a lot with stuff I didn’t even know about myself and gave me someone to talk to that I could be 100000% open with, and say what you want but most people aren’t 10000% open with anyone. Obv I’m super close to my family and best friends, but there’s stuff you might still not talk about bc it wouldn’t come up. But they’re professionals and if you find one you connect with (it took me two, first one I didn’t vibe with) it can help legit anyone. Anyway that was a bit of a tangent. But listening to your podcast and watching your KZbin was huge for me. It was something I looked forward to. After about a year in the main hospital, they transferred me to inpatient physical therapy about 15min from my home so that was big. Unfortunately I had a complication (infection) and had to go back to the hospital pretty soon after, though this one was only 20min from home. It took around the clock (literally 24/7) antibiotics and a nurse coming to take my blood no joke 3 times a day, they’d come in every few hours to switch the IV antibiotic bag, basically I had a nurse coming in my room every ~2-3 hours so I more got short naps than full sleep. I was there for about 4-5mo, they did about 20 minor surgeries during the infection in a short period of time, (still can’t eat or drink past midnight the night before a surgery, not even water, and you still are dealing with waking up from anesthesia and pain every time) then some others surgeries as well. After those 4-5mo, I was back to the inpatient physical therapy. So I’d been in hospitals for like ~1.5yrs and inpatient PT a bit. I spent the next few months inpatient PT before I was able to come home. I had to do a couple more surgeries outpatient where I’d stay for like a few days, and I continue to do outpatient PT 2-3x/wk. Drs told me originally I may never walk again, but after being in a wheelchair for a long time, now that I’m fully healed (I have some permanent damage, some metal in my body etc) I am now on a walker and can walk like 20-30 steps without anything. My therapist is 100% I will walk without anything one day (hopefully by the end of 2021, Covid meant a setback because I had to stop going to PT for a while) beside for needing to wear special shoes. They just have a different like curved sole. Cool thing is, I can get them custom made out of like any shoe pretty much. So I got the orthopedic Jordan 3s lmao. Was worth the $ bc the regular shoes are the opposite of drip. Anyway man, it’s been a journey for me over the past few years, and you legitimately helped me get through it in a big big way. I’m not just saying that bc it’s your birthday. I’ve commented this before but I know you can’t read all your comments especially such long ones. Just know that you’re doing good in the world and helping people more than you know. You provided me entertainment and laughs, and a way to escape for 20-30 mins or with the podcast like an hour, hour and a half or whatever. They were a bit longer back in the day usually lol. So happy birthday dude, I’ve loved watching you grow as a person (your own crib, and your little family with your girl and Koda (Coda?), and as a channel and business with the HOH stuff and all that. You deserve all the good things that come to you. Keep killing it and achieving and surpassing goals/expectations. Hey Kenny remember the challenge you did with no 3pt line? Basically what you did was make the tendencies, ratings, etc to the minimum in 3pt shooting. So here's an idea. how about you do the same thing, just the opposite. You make the 2pt shooting rating, tendencies, etc to the minimum in 2pt shooting, meaning Layups, Dunks, middy and every other 2 point shot to a minimum obviously both in ratings and in tendencies. I think that would be a cool challenge/experiment. Like if you want Kenny to do this experiment!
