Each year millions of tonnes of clothes are produced, worn, and thrown away. Our addiction for fast fashion has a huge cost on the environment. Can recycled cotton solve that problem? #SustainableFashion

What's wrong with the cotton we use now?
@rad1461 Жыл бұрын
Nothing wrong with cotton we use now. The issue is that in the last 20 years we developed into wearing fast fashion. I watched a ton of videos on it, now we reuse clothes less often, and we buy clothes more often. So its normal now for someone to buy a shirt in December and by February you are no longer wearing that shirt nearly as often. And the only reason you simply don't continue to wear it? because you likely have 5-6 new shirts in the 3-4 month span. 20 years ago the general public wore the same clothes more often before getting new or tossing clothes. iirc the numbers they had in this one video said before we would wash a shirt 11-13 times, now its closer to 5-7. Reason why its called fast fashion before from design to stores it would take months, now it takes weeks.
