As someone who always thought assault Deku was a bit of a one trick phony that essentially just relies on alphas to do damage, strike Deku was a very welcome skillset. His moveset is really well put together and has, IMO, more depth than assault Deku, which just makes him way more fun for me. Considering he's what I'd consider one of my mains, I feel like I should share some tidbits about him so he's understood a little better 1. The way the knock down on his alpha works is that it counts the total amount of pellets hit. Once you hit all pellets (one full shot's worth) twice in a short amount of time (don't have an exact number, but I'd estimate roughly 1 or 2 seconds) they will be knocked down. This means that you can have scenarios where they go down after three hits instead of two, because you didn't land all the pellets in the first two shots. This happening doesn't really mean you're missing out on damage though. Since the full damage of the two shots was spread out over three instead of two, the total damage remains the same. 2. It goes without saying, but learning when and when not to scope in is really important. I personally reccomend to only really use the spreadshot in close range scramble scenarios or when there are multiple people in close vicinity that are grouped together, since you will rarely hit all the pellets unless youre very close range, it's usually just better to use the scope in version to do more consistent damage. Of course, the amount of pellets you hit even while scoped in still depends on your aim, so if you notice that you're not hitting full damage even while scoped in, it means you only clipped them with some pellets, and your aim was slightly off. 3. Most people see the fact his alpha knocks down as a weakness- i see it as a strength. Strike Deku isn't supposed to gun people down with his alpha like assault deku is; you use the time while your opponent is knocked to get into your prefered range where you can hit them with your other moves. His beta for example is really good at catching wake ups, wich means that if you manage to knock someone with the alpha, you can deal even more damage if you manage to catch their wake up by positioning yourself right and timing it properly. You want to make sure you don't try to hit them when they still have invincibility frames, but right when they are about to run out to ensure you land the hit and don't leave yourself open. 4. For his Beta, you generally only really want to use it after jumping when you specifically don't want it to track. The tracking and horizontal distance travelled on his Beta is way better if used while standing on the ground, which makes it way more viable and a lot easier to hit moving targets. When high in the air, or after a gamma jump though, you should still always use it if there are multiple enemies below, since the AOE increase is always worth it. 5. The beta consists of two hits, one of which takes place while Deku is falling through the air after kicking down, and when he actually hits the ground. As far as i know the, aerial kick always does 50 damage, and while that doesn't seem like a lot, it stacks with the stomp damage and deals true damage. This means that, just like with Ibara and Shiggys grabs, you can kill someone who just popped PU if they had less than 50 health remaining if you manage to land the aerial hit, something which is pretty easy if you use the grounded betas tracking. 6. After landing the gamma and jumping afterwards, you should always pay attention to where your enemy is knocked away, since if you manuever correctly you can hit them with the aerial hit of the beta which will drag them down to the ground. The opponent usually can do nothing about this, since they can't dodge in the air, making it a true combo. 7. Dont forget to use the gamma as more than just a damage dealer or a get off me tool. It serves as decent cover in a pinch and can allow you to block off doorways and entrances if placed correctly. Last but not least, my reccomended leveling order ever since the last buff they gave him, is: beta 4 -> alpha 4 -> gamma 4 -> alpha 9 -> beta 9 -> gamma 9. The reasoning is pretty simple; you want the extra beta as quickly as possible, after that making sure the alpha has one more bullet and more damage is important to keep strike Deku dangerous at a longer range, and then finally the extra tile you get at gamma 4 makes it so you can actually use it as cover. You can choose to level beta to 9 after that instead of alpha so you get the third beta, but I personally think maxing alpha is a bit more important.

As a full bullet main since day 1 of the character i agree with everything stated here except the path. I believe beta 4 A9 B9 Y9 is optimal as a level 1 gamma will have the same mobility and have the ability to block door ways and provide some cover. Basically level gamma last as it does its job at all levels pretty much equally. 100 to 135 from 1-9 and the only other difference is the size which is minimal imo.

@@no_life45678 Yeah that's also fine. With the exception of prioritizing beta 4 and to an extent his alpha, I feel like strike deku is very flexible and can do well with any level order. In the end i feel like for strike deku the quirks you prioritize are reliant on playstyle. I personally like having the extra gamma tile since I often use gamma to provide cover for downed teammates so I can carry/res them. If you're more focused on offense though, I do agree that gamma can definitely be left for last.

When it comes to Red Deku's Alpha, the inconsistent damage comes from how many of the pellets hit. Once they get hit by two full shots worth of pellets, regardless of the number of shots used, they will fall over. Playing with other characters that also have knockdown inducing abilities can make your shots feel very weak since you'll be knocking them over with little damage done from your perspective.

As red deku, i get beta to 4 first for 2 ammo, and when u do it while grounded it has good tracking on who the camera is facing and covers good distance, its good for catching people on wakeup

The alpha knocks the opponent into s after a certain amount of pellets, it's not actually after 3 full shots, that's why it does less dmg on the 3rd hit

@stray im a deku main assaukt and strike and normally you would not aim close range say someone is next to you or a mix between close and middle if that makes sense but if they r clos-long range you would aim in but also you would aim in if you intend to knock them down EG.iida is on the ground and is about to get up you zoom in and shoot so they get knocked down again so they dont escape hope this helped lovenur vids :)

I just thought about something: Assuming they add more than two skillsets per character, it's possible they'd make the current anime version of Tomura (with AFO and the radio waves attack) and this form would most likely be a technical by nature. This would complete the holy shigitrinity: a yellow shiggy with red attacks, a red shiggy with purple attacks, and a purple shiggy with yellow attacks.

Full Bullet is my main Skill Set ever since I got it back in Season 3. I always max out Beta cause the damage is beautiful,plus you can catch people slipping when the go Plus Ultra with a sliver of health left

7:31 i think it did only 48, damage because of the knock down. Only a couple of the projectiles hit before the knockdown came into effect and the rest just ignored him. The knockdown from Alpha can be inconsistent because of the fact some shots hit more or less.

Tbh this charater is insanely buggy, I've beta'd people in the ground so they get stuck. If it kills them it makes the revive coin uncollectable effectively removing someone out the match people cab just get stuck in his gamma. I've had his A just not shoot sometimes idk why he's so buggy

Red deku imo is better. You can knock over an entire team at range with no cooldown. AFO using gamma? Nope. Teammate grabbed by vines or shiggy? Nuh uh. Hyperarmor coming in hot? Not anymore. Two shots is all you need. I also chained a beta into another beta once which was absolutely disgusting and I didn't know it was possible. 380 damage combowith just 2 betas.
