Colts are ranked 30th defensively (worse than the cowboys and jaguars, even after last Sunday’s game) in allowing rushing yards, and 28th in passing yards. Could I see the Colts getting 14-28 points, it is possible, however, their defense is awful and will probably give up 35-52 points. Anthony Richardson potentially improving is not going to be enough to overcome the amount of points the lions are going to put up.

@ Lions are going to rely on the run game a lot, which will prevent turnovers unless they fumble, which I doubt will happen. The colts aren’t going to be able to stop Gibbs and Montgomery.

The only way to beat the Lions is something the Colts are perfectly capable of doing with AR under center - explosive plays. You can't grind it out against this team, you have to shock and make them bleed with chunk plays and long TDs, the kind of plays that Richardson has shown he's capable of making. But you have to pair that with winning the turnover margin and having stout defense. Richardson's biggest weakness is turnovers, and the Colts are bottom third of the league in just about every defensive category. Goff has to throw 6 INTs this game, or Richardson has to account for 500 yards and 5 Tds. Otherwise, it's Lions all the way down.

The Lions got away from their identity in that game against the Bucs. The same thing happened in game two last year. They started with a big win on national TV then laid an egg the next game against Seattle. We're way past that stage of development. I'll give Indy their due, but if they win this one I imagine it will be more a case of the Lions losing it, something I just don't see happening. The hounds are nipping at their tail for that #1 seed and you know Coach has reminded them of the lesson they learned last year in Frisco; homefield matters a ton when you're in a championship game. December is going to be a tough month for our boys. They gotta bank wins now, and I believe they will. No reason they shouldn't come into December 11-1, no reason at all.

That game they "laid an egg" against the Seahawks in '23 week two was a shootout that went to OT where the Hawks won the coin toss and drove down the field and scored the Lions never had a snap on offense in OT. So I respectfully disagree with your opinion of last year. The game against the Bucs, it's hard to beat the same team 3 time in 12 months. JS

Solid gameplan, but the Colts defense is ranked poorly in every relevant category. No way they turnover Goff or anyone else for that matter. The Colts will struggle to sustain drives against Detroit's defense as they're solid up front in the run game and on the backend with the safety's. The only chance the colts have is if AR can make plays on his feet and convert on a few deep shots. I expect the Lions defense to feast
