That super he done, he was just going back and forth yea buy at the very last momont he pressed quater circle. Its like bruce lee said, u gotta be like water, and xiaohai was like flowing water here, keeping the momentum going and able to react quicker that way, if he was just still he wouldnt of reacted at fast, but that idea of moving forward and backward was a pretty smart way of getting ur opponent to throw a fireball. First he purposely buffered the full motion, how most people would, but this was all part of the plan, to say this is a buffer, he then started to move forward an back to make it look like he wasnt buffering and to bait out the fireball, but the momentum was still there.

I think he was doing a kof super. So quarter circle back then half circle forward. That means in order to do super he just needs to input fireball + button

No, he made plenty of mistakes. Missed divekick punishes. Missed damage conversions that could have taken the round. Poor DPs instead of crosscut/b+HP. Etc. But he still won, with a sub character. That's what's really impressive.

If you input a DP very fast inside CR mK drive rush button, the DP will only come out if there is a gap during the block string like CR MK >> Drive Rush MP which is a fake pressure Cr MK>> DR LP is a true block string, meaning there is no gap in between… in that case, your DP won’t come out That’s why it’s an option select, and it’s very powerful by the way cause it beats Cr MK >> Drive rush delayed buttons or throw

You can tell he was under a lot of pressure and things started to get worse when he got reset. And maybe he decided to focus on the ground game because Xiohai's Cammy is not a jumping one, but a footsies one. Be fully focused on distances, punishes and windows of agression maybe too much mental stack to be on point with the AAs.

Cammy is one of the harder characters in the game to play footsies against due to great pokes and a good walk speed on top of divekick, Jumps tend to go unchecked a lot vs her

Exploiting Shenanigans for victory. I don't blame Kusunagi at all especially when Xiaohai also exploited tons of shenanigans in the game. Capcom only have themselves to blame. Don't like the shenanigans then you need to remove them, Capcom. Outside of that, Kusunagi's Ryu is really different from the majority of Ryu players, which was fantastic to see. So this is truly a Kusunagi victory, not a Ryu victory.

As good as these cast of characters, Ryu really doesnt appear to be anywhere near a bad character. But i still hear thoughts about that character from the best of the best like Punkdagod saying that, “maybe Ryu playstyle is no longer fireball, shoryuken anymore…” and in my head since the release of the game I never thought any character really had a SET playstyle anymore. Drive Rush, Drive Parry, Drive Impact, Drive Gauge…. These universal mechanics add way to much of an X factor in a fight to play one way the whole round or match for any character in this game no matter how limited their kit is compared to other characters. To think after a year and some change pros still think characters have a set playstyle and never thought to take them to different heights themselves. Just automatically defaulted to saying characters arent that good because they limited the characters to what they used to know from previous games. I hate that it takes for one person to have to do the “unthinkable” and win a major with a bad character for pros to take a second look at them. Now its gonna be a lot of videos of “how Ryu always been good, and you been misled into thinking they were bad.” Vive le Francé

of course Ryu can. technically anyone can. but Ryu's my dude. he feels like the most well-rounded fighter, too. heavy punch has a special forward attack, heavy kick has a special forward AND backward attack, medium punch has a special forward, he's got a great projectile, he hits hard, moves okay ... I know he's by all metrics technically the inferior to Ken, but I still like playing Ryu more. but I'm terrible at the game. so that likely explains why.

@@cardfightbrawls8231 okay so big capcom has big tournaments around the world to qualify for Capcom Cup if you win a big tournament, Punk won Evo which is one of the big tournaments to qualify for Capcom cup. Capcom cup is the biggest tournament for Street fighter 6, it’s like the Super Bowl for sf6. If you win Capcom cup, you win $1 Mil so it’s a big deal. So since Punk is now qualified for Capcom Cup he doesn’t need to enter anymore tourneys till Capcom cup. So the rest of the world are entering other big tournaments and fight for the spot to Capcom cup.
